We offer in-home, in office and virtual assessments. As experts in Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) we help to truly understand how to ensure any person in receipt of NDIS funding has the best life of their choosing. Our assessments include individual observation, assessment and understanding, as well as the use of standardized assessment tools preferred by the NDIA. Our reports are tailored to deliver the best outcomes and we have a good success rate in achieving positive results. We take time to engage with all parties involved in support, including Family, Support Coordinators and Service Providers. We take a holistic approach to ensure all needs are considered. Depending on the type of the report, we may take 1-4 weeks to produce it. We will always clearly indicate the timeframes from the start. Same with the cost of the assessment, this will be provided upon booking, so there are no surprises! We are flexible, so if you have a specific requirement which doesn’t fit the mold, we can help!

At Flexiwell Group, we believe assessments should do more than “tick a box.”

They should help people understand:
What’s happening?
What risks need consideration?
What someone can realistically manage.
And what the next steps may look like.

That’s why our approach focuses on practical, human-centred assessment outcomes that support real decision-making across workplace, legal, insurance, and disability-related matters.

Complex situations are hard enough already. Clarity helps.

💡 Did you know?

An NDIS Functional Capacity Assessment isn't a test you can pass or fail.

It's simply a way of understanding how your disability impacts your daily life, what supports you're using, and where additional support may help you achieve your goals.

There are no right or wrong answers.

The more openly you share your day-to-day experiences, the more accurately your needs can be reflected in your report.

It’s one of the first questions we’re asked, and it makes sense.

When you’re waiting on NDIS supports, not knowing the timeline can feel really heavy.

At Flexiwell, we make this clear from the start. Based on your situation, we’ll guide you through a timeframe that fits:
🔸 Urgent – For time-sensitive cases (2 weeks)
🔸 Priority – Thorough, timely, and consistent (4 weeks)
🔸 Standard – When you’ve got time and want to plan ahead (6 weeks)

There isn’t one “standard” timeline, just what works best for your NDIS journey.

We’ll always be upfront about timing and keep you informed along the way, so you’re not left wondering what’s happening.

If you’re unsure what timeframe fits your situation, we’re here to talk it through.

Understanding your NDIS supports starts with understanding your own needs.

What helps you feel safe?
What tasks are becoming harder?
What support would make everyday life more manageable?

These conversations matter. Too often, people minimise their struggles because they’ve spent years “just coping.”

But your support needs deserve to be acknowledged properly. Advocating for yourself or someone you care for isn’t asking for too much.

It’s making sure the right supports are in place for everyday life.

Sometimes it’s the things people think are “too small” to mention that actually help paint the clearest picture of support needs.

Things like:
✔️ Needing reminders to eat
✔️ Struggling with laundry or shopping
✔️ Avoiding appointments due to overwhelm
✔️ Needing help organising medication
✔️ Feeling unsafe in the shower

These details matter because they reflect the real impact disability can have on everyday life.

You should never feel like your daily experiences are “not serious enough” to mention.

Things to remember before an NDIS Assessment

✓ Your everyday challenges matter
✓ Small details can help paint a clearer picture
✓ It’s okay to take notes beforehand
✓ A support person can attend with you
✓ The goal is understanding your needs, not “passing a test”

Assessments can feel intimidating, especially if you’re unsure what to expect.

The right assessor will take time to understand your lived experience with care, patience and respect.

You don’t need to have the “perfect words.” You just need space to be heard.

When you’re navigating the NDIS, the process can feel like a lot.

Appointments. Reports. Forms. Explaining your story again and again. For participants with psychosocial support needs, it can feel even more complex.

A clear Functional Capacity Assessment can help bring the full picture together, showing how daily life is impacted and what supports may be needed.

🔸 Clear functional insight
🔸 Practical recommendations
🔸 A report that connects needs, goals and daily reality

Less confusion. More clarity. Better support for informed decisions.

If you’re preparing for a plan review or change in circumstances, the right assessment can make a real difference.

Advocating in the NDIS isn’t about saying more.

It’s about saying the right things, in the right way.

When you understand what’s been accepted, you can:
✔️ Speak more clearly about support needs
✔️ Align your requests with what the system recognises
✔️ And reduce the back-and-forth that causes elays

It doesn’t mean your full experience isn’t valid. It just means you’re working with the system in a way that helps you move forward.

And that’s where real progress starts to happen.

There’s a lot of conversation right now about NDIS budget changes, funding reviews and tighter decision-making.

For many people in the disability community, it feels unsettling. And understandably so.

When supports impact everyday life, getting safely around the home, accessing care, communicating, learning, working or living independently, uncertainty around funding can feel deeply personal.

The hard part is that outcomes aren’t always predictable. Even with strong evidence, the result may not always be what families, carers or participants were hoping for. That can feel disappointing, especially when you know how much those supports matter.

At Flexiwell, our role is not to make false promises. Our role is to help bring clarity.

We provide thoughtful, comprehensive assessments that reflect a participant’s daily function, support needs and lived experience, so families and Support Coordinators feel better equipped to understand the next steps and advocate with confidence.

In a system that can feel confusing and emotionally exhausting, clarity really matters. If you’re feeling unsure about what comes next, please know you don’t have to work it out alone.

We’re here to listen and help bring a little more clarity to the process.

One of the most important (and often missed) steps in the NDIS process is knowing what’s actually been accepted.

A participant might be living with multiple challenges, but funding will only relate to the disabilities the NDIS has recognised.

This can affect:
➡️ What supports are recommended
➡️ What gets approved
➡️ And how smoothly services are accessed

When assessments are aligned with accepted disabilities, things move more easily.

It means:
✔️ The right supports are requested
✔️ The evidence makes sense to the NDIS
✔️ And delays are less likely

Clarity here can make a real difference to outcomes.
