🧬 MK-677: MUSCLE, RECOVERY & THE GH–IGF-1 PATHWAY
MK-677—also known as ibutamoren—is often incorrectly called a SARM. It is actually an oral ghrelin-receptor agonist and growth-hormone secretagogue, meaning it signals the body to increase its natural release of growth hormone and IGF-1.
Potential research interests include:
💪 Supporting lean-body-mass development
😴 Improving sleep quality and recovery
🦴 Supporting bone and connective-tissue health
🍽️ Increasing appetite during a gaining phase
⚡ Supporting recovery from demanding training
But more growth hormone does not automatically mean better results.
MK-677 may also cause:
⚠️ Increased hunger
⚠️ Water retention and swelling
⚠️ Numbness or tingling
⚠️ Joint or muscle discomfort
⚠️ Elevated fasting glucose
⚠️ Reduced insulin sensitivity
FOUNDATION SUPPLEMENT STACK
🥩 Quality protein — supplies the amino acids required for muscle repair and growth.
💥 Creatine monohydrate — supports strength, training performance and muscular energy.
🐟 Omega-3s — supports cardiovascular health, inflammation balance and recovery.
🌙 Magnesium — supports muscle function, relaxation, sleep and glucose metabolism.
🧂 Electrolytes — support hydration, nerve signalling and training performance.
🥦 Fibre and whole foods — help support digestion, appetite control and healthy glucose regulation.
🩸 The most important “support” is monitoring: fasting glucose, HbA1c, blood pressure, fluid retention and IGF-1—not simply adding more supplements
