The Southern Hemisphere's biggest gym opens in Adelaide next month.
Derrimut 24:7 launches its Elizabeth club on September 14, taking over part of the old Holden factory site on Phillip Highway. Three years in planning, 9,500sqm under one roof, and a facility list that reads more like a precinct than a gym.
Inside: 500+ pieces of equipment including more than 100 cardio machines, a dedicated HYROX training zone, a full size basketball court, a combat area with a boxing ring and 20 bags, strength and conditioning, and functional turf.
The recovery and studio offering is where it separates from the usual big box play. A 20 bed reformer studio, a hot yoga and pilates room, infrared saunas, cold plunge, cryotherapy, red light therapy and massage chairs. Plus a nutrition bar, a supplement store, a co-working hub and 600+ free car parks.
There is also a curated women's training space, billed as the largest ladies gym fit out in South Australia, in a market where women's only floors have gone from nice to have to a deciding factor in where members sign.
Founding memberships start at $7.95 a week, with premium at $16.95 and full recovery access at $39.95. No lock in contracts.
