When her support worker Jo said Kaylah was very brave on their latest outing, she wasn't exaggerating! Kaylah came face to face with some very large, very hungry camels and she did not flinch. 🐪

We're Hiring! 💙

Starfish Support is growing and we are looking for passionate, experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team across the Redlands and Southeast Queensland areas.

We have a number of roles available supporting participants with a range of needs, and we are looking for people who are flexible, reliable and genuinely committed to making a difference in the lives of the people they support.

We are looking for people who:
- Are experienced in disability support
- Are confident providing personal care and assistance with daily living
- Have strong communication skills and a person-centred approach
- Are flexible and available across a variety of days and shifts, including the ability to cover for team members when needed
- Value building genuine, long-term relationships with participants

Essential requirements:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance & WWCC
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- Full Australian working rights

There is something special about a day spent fishing. The fresh air, the patience, the anticipation, and then that moment when it all pays off. Aaron had that moment three times over!

His support worker Darren was right there alongside him for every catch, and by all accounts the smile didn't leave Aaron's face.

With more than 20 years of experience working alongside people with disability, young people and families, Tara brings a caring, person-centred approach to everything she does.

She loves getting to know each participant, building genuine relationships and working closely with families and support networks to help people achieve the goals that matter most to them. Passionate about advocacy, clear communication and creating safe, respectful environments, Tara is dedicated to helping people feel heard, valued and supported every step of the way.

Outside of work, you'll often find Tara enjoying creative projects, gardening or spending time in her local community.
