Four little letters. One big question. Sometimes that is all it takes.

At Starfish Support, we know that a simple conversation can make a world of difference. Our team shows up every day for the people we support, not just to help with the practical things, but to genuinely connect, listen and be present.

Today we are reminded that the people around us, our participants, our colleagues, our friends and our family, might just need someone to ask.

We love receiving feedback like this. 💙

Recently, one of our participants called us specifically to share how much of a difference their Support Worker Errol has made in his life. He spoke about the outstanding support, patience and consistency Errol brings to every shift.

The genuine connection he has developed with Errol is something we do not take for granted.

We're Hiring! 💙

Starfish Support is growing and we are looking for passionate, experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team across the Redlands and Southeast Queensland areas.

We have a number of roles available supporting participants with a range of needs, and we are looking for people who are flexible, reliable and genuinely committed to making a difference in the lives of the people they support.

We are looking for people who:
- Are experienced in disability support
- Are confident providing personal care and assistance with daily living
- Have strong communication skills and a person-centred approach
- Are flexible and available across a variety of days and shifts, including the ability to cover for team members when needed
- Value building genuine, long-term relationships with participants

Essential requirements:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance & WWCC
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- Full Australian working rights

There is something special about a day spent fishing. The fresh air, the patience, the anticipation, and then that moment when it all pays off. Aaron had that moment three times over!

His support worker Darren was right there alongside him for every catch, and by all accounts the smile didn't leave Aaron's face.

Days like this are what it's all about. 💙
