Just because someone says they’re Christian does not mean they are automatically ready for a healthy, Christ-centred relationship.

And this is where so many people get confused.

They think “equally yoked” means:
we both go to church,
we both believe in God,
we both want marriage one day.

But a Christ-centred relationship needs more than a label.

Look for fruit.

Look for patterns of humility, honesty, self-control, kindness, repentance, emotional maturity and honour.

Not perfection.
But direction.

Because the fruit of someone’s life will tell you more than the words on their dating profile.

Dating question to reflect on:
Do their choices match the convictions they say they have?

💌Save this for when you’re discerning a relationship.

If “I want to meet someone” has been one of your prayers for 2026… there’s still time to take some intentional steps. 🤍

Pray AND put yourself in places where you can meet people.
Get clear on your values and convictions.
Let your friends know you’re open to meeting someone.
Ask someone for coffee. ☕️
Say yes to the introduction.
Practise being curious instead of deciding their marriage potential in the first 10 minutes. 😂

You can trust God AND take intentional action.

What’s one step you could take before the end of 2026?

01/09/2026

There is four months left of the year.
Want to be more intentional about dating before 2026 ends? Start here.

💕 IF YOU’RE DATING

* Make some fun memories together that aren’t just dinner and Netflix.
* Volunteer or serve together…see each other when the focus isn’t on yourselves.
* Spend time with each other’s friends and community.
* Ask questions about faith, family & upbringing, money, purpose, conflict, emotions, expectations and your future dreams.
* Talk about your boundaries rather than just hoping you’re on the same page.
* Notice not only how they treat you, but how they treat people they don’t need to impress.
* Have a monthly “How are we going?” conversation.
* Pray together and individually about the relationship.
* Don’t only ask, “Do I like them?” Ask, “What are we learning about each other?”
* Seek out wise counsel from a trusted couple or individual mentors.
* Spend MORE time talking face to face than texting online.

💌Save this for later and send this to your friends who are dating

What do you actually talk about at a Christian marriage retreat? 👀

This weekend we talked about the conversations I wish more Christian couples felt equipped to have….you know, like…how to have helpful convos around communication, emotional safety, vulnerability, intimacy, s..xual expectations, desire, pleasure and how to grow intimacy in all the different seasons of marriage.

Remember, a healthy Christian marriage isn’t one where you never disagree, never feel disconnected or somehow have an amazing s..x life without any effort.

It’s a marriage where you keep learning about each other. When you intentionally choose curiosity over assumptions, choose to understand each other, choose to be patient, choose to keep repairing, and choose to intentionally turning towards one another. 🤍

My favourite part of the marriage retreat was watching couples laugh, talk, reflect and pray for each other!

Well done to you all for creating space to focus on your marriage. I believe the fruit will last generations to come 🍇

Christian marriages need more spaces where we can talk honestly AND biblically about the real stuff.

Which of these conversations do you think married couples need more help having? 👇

What a privilege to spend a weekend creating space for couples to slow down, have honest conversations, laugh together, learn some new tools and intentionally turn towards each other again. 🤍

Remember this…

Maybe you don’t need a completely different marriage.

Maybe you just need to slow down long enough to remember what you love about the person you married. 🤍

To laugh again.
To get curious again.
To have the conversations you’ve been avoiding.
To learn each other again.
To choose each other again.

That’s what I loved about this weekend.

Marriage doesn’t stay connected on autopilot. Sometimes we need to intentionally turn towards each other again.

Send this to your person if you’d choose them all over again. 🥹🤍

You can love Jesus, love each other AND still enter marriage with completely different expectations about what marriage is going to look like.

That’s why some of the most important conversations before marriage aren’t necessarily the romantic ones.

Talk about money.

Talk about family.

Talk about how conflict was handled growing up.

Talk about p**n and addictions.

Talk about your values, calling and faith.

Talk about what you believe being a husband or wife actually looks like.

Talk about the experiences from your past that may affect how you give and receive love today.

And talk about the expectations you’re carrying that your partner may not even know exist.

The goal isn’t to agree on absolutely everything.

It’s to know each other well enough to make an informed decision about the life you’re choosing to build together.

Save this and use these questions on your next date night.

And send it to someone who’s seriously dating or engaged. 🤍

I hear this ALL the time after speaking - “We needed this years ago.”

And I get it.

So many Christians have grown up hearing what not to do when it comes to s..x… but haven’t always been given the language, understanding or practical tools for what healthy godly intimacy actually looks like.

Then if you get married and somehow you’re expected to just know. 😅

How to talk about s..x.
How desire actually works.
How to navigate differences.
How to communicate when things feel awkward.
How to build intimacy that is mutual, safe and enjoyable.

These are conversations I love helping Christians have.

The Bible has lots to say about s..x and intimacy and I believe we can get much better at talking about it.

Biblically. Practically. Without fear, shame or awkwardness.

And maybe one day people won’t have to say, “I wish someone talked about this with me this years ago.” ❤️

P.S… Parents are the greatest educator of this topic, so let’s not leave it to just church or school to talk about it.

This is a question I think more people need to ask each other when they are dating…

Everything we do needs to have a purpose.

Marriage has a purpose.

To reflect to the world what Christ and His love for the Bride of Christ looks like.

To love each other and live together to honour God & follow His ways to be a testimony to others of Gods love and grace.

To point each other to Jesus and bring out the best in each other so you can grow to become more Christ-like.

Honour God together.
Reflect His love.
Point each other toward Jesus.
Help each other grow.
Become more Christ-like together.

🫶🏻
Before you marry someone, make sure you’ve talked about the kind of marriage you’re actually have a vision for and want to build in the future.
