If you live on the northside, I can highly recommend Libees Honey. Raw unfiltered and fabulous!

🍯 Have you ever wondered why one jar of honey tastes completely different from another? For many Wavell Heights locals, that question leads to Liby, the "Chief Honey Officer" behind Libees Honey, whose family-run operation manages more than 200 hives on a farm north of Gympie, with honey distributed through Wavell Heights.
What started as a backyard hobby has grown into a thriving bee business. Along the way, Liby has learned from veteran beekeepers, battled bee diseases, adapted to emerging threats like the Varroa mite, and developed a deep appreciation for these tiny but remarkable insects.

Are you a coffee drinker? I reckon this info also extends to tea drinking albeit that tea has slightly less but not much less caffeine than coffee.

I learned something reading this so thought I'd share cos I'm sure not everyone knows this stuff. And before you decide to flick past because you love your coffee too much, some meds actually are improved by caffeine.

Read on...

Learn what medications you should avoid mixing with coffee, what the side effects are, and alternatives to coffee that are safe with common medications.

Incredible.

Incredible.

A noninvasive treatment using light and sound shown to trigger the brain’s natural waste-clearance system to combat Alzheimer's disease.

More than 7 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s disease, a crisis projected to cost the U.S. healthcare system an estimated $409 billion in 2026. This treatment could change that.

In a groundbreaking preclinical study funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA), researchers from MIT, Boston University, and Westlake University in China have discovered that noninvasive light and sound stimulation can significantly reduce levels of toxic amyloid proteins in the brain.

By exposing mice to flashing lights and auditory tones engineered to generate 40-hertz electrical gamma waves, scientists triggered a dramatic boost in the flow of cerebrospinal fluid.

This sensory stimulation effectively tapped into the brain’s glymphatic system—its internal waste-disposal network—prompting cells called astrocytes to expand, flush out debris, and clear the destructive plaques historically associated with Alzheimer’s disease.

The therapeutic mechanism relies on a delicate chain reaction in the brain. Researchers found that gamma wave stimulation coaxes specific inhibitory interneurons to release a vital hormone called vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP).

This hormone signals the glymphatic system to increase fluid circulation, accelerating the elimination of toxic waste. When scientists experimentally blocked either the astrocytes' expansion or the interneurons' ability to produce VIP, the plaque-clearing benefits vanished.

These promising results suggest that simple, noninvasive sensory therapy could act as a potent tool to keep our brain's plumbing running smoothly, offering a highly accessible avenue for treating Alzheimer’s and other protein-accumulating neurological disorders.

This is why I’m so horrified very time I see bottles of so-called essential oils on sale in supermarkets and stores like Kmart, Target etc.

They’re cheap and no real essential oil can be that cheap particularly when you read some of the flavours (I can’t in any conscience call them oils) that I know cost a lot more if they’re 100% pure.

So they’re obviously synthetic snd, as this lady found, aren’t even made from plant oils - a lot are petrochemicals or chemically-derived aka synthetic.

They’re disastrous for our health and it’s criminal in my mind that companies are allowed to sell us such poison.

Unfortunately the essential oil industry is not regulated so these manufacturers aren’t going to be prosecuted for the quality
- or lack of - in their products. They can claim they’re pure or natural and unless you have sophisticated scientific equipment, you won’t know. You can in some cases smell the difference but not all.

This is why I choose to use dōTERRA essential oils because I know they’re 100% natural and pure. Many are TGA certified for medicinal use which wouldn’t happen if they weren’t pure and many are also certified for use internally and 99% of the “essential oils” on the market aren’t.

Please folks, if you value your health and that of your families and pets, only buy oils certified as pure. If you’d like to experience real essential oils, derived from plants, let’s catch up so you can smell and feel the difference.

Just comment PURE or DM me to set up a catchup.

Citric acid is a powerful natural cleaner and one I often use for cleaning kitchen appliances such as my dishwasher. It’s also great in the bathroom.

Citric acid comes from mostly from citrus fruits with lemons and limes having the highest amount of the acid.

However, citric acid can be expensive if you buy it in the supermarket as it comes in small containers. I buy mine bulk from Blants which is far less expensive.

However, here’s a thought: why buy citric acid when most of us have lemons or limes on the counter. Instead of throwing those peels away, save them up and use them to clean as this article explains.

Simple, natural, inexpensive.

An Australian homeowner has shared her clever method for maintaining a flawlessly clean dishwasher by employing an unexpected food item.

Did you know your TM7 Thermomix has a Timer function?

You can use it without cooking anything just as you'd use any timer. So easy and there's another kitchen gadget I don't need!

Check it out!

Ever wished you had a timer in your kitchen? Sure you can use the one on your stove as I often do but, tbh, it's pain to set. Why not use the Timer function ...
