Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare and progressive lung disease that primarily affects women.

It causes abnormal cell growth in the lungs, forming cysts that can make breathing difficult and worsen over time.

Because LAM is rare, it can be misunderstood or diagnosed late - but awareness can change that.

This awareness month, we’re coming together with the global community to:
🫁 Raise awareness of the signs and symptoms
🫁 Support people living with LAM and their families
🫁 Advocate for research and better care

Step challenge success at Lung Foundation Australia! 👟
For Exercise Right Week, our team came together across three states to move more, connect, and have some fun along the way, and what a week it was!
Together, 30+ staff clocked up an incredible 1,571 km 👏 That’s the equivalent of travelling from Brisbane to Falls Creek for a ski trip!

🏆 Standout Achievements
1. One team member achieved over 51,000 steps in a single day – an amazing display of endurance
2. A nail-biting finish for most steps overall, with less than 500 steps separating first and second place
3. Our top team averaging an impressive 86,000+ steps per person

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, your energy, commitment, and friendly competition made this such a memorable way to celebrate Exercise Right Week 💙
