Jaw clenching (aka bruxism) is the most common cause of tension around your jaw (TMJ). When you clench a lot, your muscles become more tense and overactive, this in turn causes more compression through the joints. This may lead to TMJ dysfunction such as pain, clicking, locking, troubles chewing food etc
As part of our TMJ assessment, we can identify if bruxism is an issue for you and work on strategies to reduce this over time.
