The founding committee of The Guild of Australian Hypnotherapists - Brett Cameron, Mailin Colman, Antoine Matarasso, and Rachel Kennedy. We held our first workshop yesterday, and it was a lovely day. 28 Hypnotherapists coming together to learn, and to support each other. Community and not competition! Proud to be a part of this.

As we settle into the Coronatimes, we're all having to adapt to different ways of working. During 2020 we spent most of the first half of the year working exclusively online, and gained a lot of good experience in helping our clients in this way. In fact, we even wrote and filmed a course about conducting online hypnosis sessions so that other hypnotherapists could adapt, too....

👩‍💻 Back in the day (2003!) we helpfully advised you what browser to use, and the screen resolution you needed to view our website. It seems so quaint (lame?) now, but I remember how excited I was when I built this website using software I loaded onto my PC from a CD-ROM purchased from Harvey Norman. ☺️ We are very thankful that we are still here, and still working with lovely people every day - Rachel

It's been quite a year, hasn't it? Philip, Carol, Glenn and I are taking a couple of weeks off this Christmas to play with the dogs, visit family, and spend time with loved ones, and we'll be back bright and shiny for the new year. Thank you to all our wonderful clients! It's great to be back to work. Thank you to those of you who are practicing healthy hygiene when you visit us, and thank you to those of you who are respecting our health by cancelling your appointment when you're not feeling 100%. At the moment, even one of us getting a simple cold will have a significant impact on our business, not to mention the health and livelihoods of our other clients. We're taking COVID-19 seriously, and we are very grateful to those who are doing likewise. HYPNOTHERAPIST PHILIP HOLLINGDALE IS BACK! And we are excited! Philip worked with us full-time for five years, from 2005 – 2009, and has been connected to both our clinic and our hypnotherapy training school since 2001. Well-learned, he has qualifications in Clinical Hypnotherapy and NLP. For many years he has been a practitioner to whom we’ve been confident referring clients, as Phil brings a special kindness and empathy to his skills as a hypnotherapist. He is available for appointments Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

You’ve done a great session. You’ve spent time getting to know your client and their presenting issue, have good rapport, and given your client an experience of hypnosis and suggestibility. Does that mean a good outcome is assured?
