Did you know there’s a way to help your doctor choose medications to reduce the chances of side effects? Currently this is useful when choosing anti depressants; anti psychotics; pain medications; certain cardiovascular medications and also chemotherapy for cancer patients. This helps to reduce trial and error adverse reactions and promotes safer personalised medicine. They are private tests (unless you have cancer then please ask your oncologist). These tests your Cytochrome P450 enzymes, drug transporters and other single genes for chemotherapy drug toxicities.

From 8:30 am to 6 pm, I spent the entire day in a dark theatre on my other favourite topic - Women’s Health Update (with so many other enthusiastic doctors). It was apparently a lovely sunny day outside after a week of ☔️ rain. Can’t complain, we did get very good interstate and local expert speakers.
