This script and barbed wire was done In loving tribute to fellow tattoo artist who was part of the Lantern & Sparrow family for some time, Sean Baxter .
We were so grateful to have known him and had him as part of the family. You are forever loved, our little tattoo brother 🖤

Photographer Jessica Scott came into the studio and took a couple pictures while I worked,
to submit for her contribution to be featured in the latest Her Exposure .exposure issue.

Me? Look. The prospect of having my picture taken, well that’s just some scary s**t when you’re a human Muppet.

Women? I love them, and any way that I get to see women creating, making, taking part, putting aside how terrifying it can be to put yourself out there to an ocean of strangers who don’t always get it -
that is something I have and will always back and support in the fullest way to a point of force and overflow.

Very proud of you Jessica, and also thank you to Ali my amazing client that day who sits like it’s no one’s business.

How did we miss sharing this! ❤️

Jody came to me with a couple of things she liked as tattoos, and one good Intentioned, teenage punk days piece that needed to go.

Hey - we all learn, we all grow.

She was super open, realistic about expectations, and left the rest to me. And sometimes it’s all you need, to get the best result from a tattooist when tricky coverups are involved.

This was done with a draw-on consultation first to see what might work, and then completed over two or three sessions of tattooing.

Coverup for lovely new client Carly ❤️

After wearing a very heavy colour traditional tattoo for many many years - Carly decided it was time to begin the process of change.
Towards no longer hiding under tops to cover the old tattoo, and start thinking about a tattoo that felt more like her.

After committing to quite a few spicy sessions of laser removal - Carly was then able to lighten her original tattoo to the point that It was so faded,
she then had far more options for new designs - Allowing us to go with this much softer, gentler look of tattoo.
And most importantly - get the tattoo that her heart was set on.

Whilst it’s definitely a commitment and does involve a little extra time and patience - good quality laser removal can be a brilliant option if you aren’t wanting to go too dark, bold, or too large with a potential coverup idea.
