Yesterday we proudly welcomed The Hon. Emma McBride MP, Senator the Hon Murray Watt - Senator for Queensland and member for Forde Mr Rowan Holzberger MP, to officially open the Northern Gold Coast Medicare Mental Health Centre this morning.

Our facilities bring local support services together in one accessible location, strengthening partnerships and improving support for the community.

We are here to walk alongside our community every step of the way, and improving access to local services in the region is one of the ways we bring that commitment to life.

Co-located with other likeminded community services, the Pimpama Health and Lifestyle Hub will become a community hub where people can access coordinated support.

The Northern Gold Coast Medicare Mental Health Centre opens its doors to the community today.

Our permanent centre is a welcoming place where everyone can access free mental health information, services and supports. No referral required.

Pimpama Health and Lifestyle Hub
Lower ground level, 29 Dixon Drive, Pimpama

The centre is open:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30-4:30pm
Tuesday, Thursday: 7:00am-6:00pm

A safe space where anyone can come for free, confidential mental health support, information, or just a conversation.

Support will continue to be available at our temporary locations in the meantime.

We have a multidisciplinary team at the Northern Gold Coast Medicare Mental Health Centre ready to provide help when you need it.

Our team includes multidisciplinary trained professionals and peer workers who understand what it's like to need support.

We're proud to contribute to the national conversation at TheMHS Conference 2026 hosted by The MHS Learning Network, with three presentations showcasing how innovative, community-based models are improving access, recovery and outcomes for people experiencing mental health challenges.

Emma Schubert and Kaitlyn McNall will present on the Gold Card Clinic, a pioneering regional initiative supporting people experiencing suicidality and acute distress, while helping address the mental health "missing middle".

Laura Kelly and Annie Monks will share insights from an integrated Shared Care GP model, embedding mental health clinicians within general practice to improve access, reduce stigma and strengthen pathways to support.

Simon Blomkamp will present on Reclaiming Function: Integrating Pain Care into Mental Health Recovery, demonstrating how pain-informed, movement-based care can support recovery, improve wellbeing and increase participation in daily life.

Together, these initiatives demonstrate what's possible when services are designed around access, evidence and community need.

The Northern Gold Coast Medicare Mental Health Centre will connect you with free mental health support services within the Northern Gold Coast region.

No appointment or referral is needed. These centres are open to everyone regardless of citizenship.
