You’re probably already hypnotised.
People tell me all the time, “Hypnosis wouldn’t work on me.”
Meanwhile, they’ve spent years repeating:
“I’m not good enough.” “I’ve always been anxious.” “I have a terrible memory.” “I can’t trust anyone.” “I’ll never be confident.” “This is just who I am.”
And somehow THAT isn’t hypnosis? 😂
Hypnosis isn’t just someone swinging a watch and telling you to sleep.
Suggestion is everywhere.
Your parents gave you suggestions. Your teachers gave you suggestions. Your relationships gave you suggestions. Social media gives you suggestions. Advertising gives you suggestions. And every single day, you give suggestions to yourself.
Repeat an idea enough, attach enough emotion to it, and start looking for evidence to support it, and that idea can become part of how you see yourself and the world around you.
So when someone proudly tells me, “Nobody can hypnotise me,” I sometimes wonder...
Who convinced you of everything you currently believe?
Because maybe the interesting question isn’t whether you can be hypnotised.
Maybe it’s whether you’ve ever stopped to question the suggestions you’re already living by.
