🐾 Long weekend ahead! A quick heads-up before Monday, 5th October's public holiday:

You can still order online anytime - scripts just won't be processed until the next business day.

Our phones and emails won't be attended over the holiday, but we'll be back across both on Tuesday, 6th October.

Our partner pharmacy is closed for the holiday too, with dispensing and deliveries resuming Tuesday.

Thanks for your patience while we work through the backlog- and enjoy the long weekend! 🐶

Every pet is unique, and the best treatment plan is one that’s tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.

🐾 You spend more time with your pet than anyone else, which means you’re often the first to notice when something feels different.

Subtle changes in mood, mobility, appetite or behaviour can sometimes be the earliest signs that your pet needs a veterinary check-up.

While these changes don’t always indicate a serious problem, they are worth paying attention to.

Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t seem quite right, having a conversation with your veterinarian is always a good place to start.

Save this post as a reminder that noticing the little changes can make a big difference.

When it comes to your pet's health, the evidence matters.

You may have seen C*DA described as “more potent” for osteoarthritis in dogs and cats. C*DA is an interesting area of research - but at this stage, the veterinary evidence remains limited, particularly when compared with C*D.

C*D has several published studies evaluating its use in canine osteoarthritis, while there is currently no comparable body of evidence showing that C*DA-fortified formulations outperform C*D for osteoarthritic pain.

There’s also an important Australian prescribing consideration: some of the research exploring C*DA has used formulations containing substantially higher proportions of C*DA than are permitted in Schedule 4 C*D preparations able to be prescribed by Australian veterinarians

The takeaway? C*DA is worth watching, but right now, the stronger veterinary evidence and prescribing experience still sits with C*D.

Pain in pets isn’t always easy to recognise.

Dogs and cats can continue eating, wagging their tail, or seeking affection while quietly experiencing discomfort.

That’s why subtle changes in movement, behaviour, sleep, or daily routines are often some of the most important signs to notice.

No single behaviour confirms that a pet is in pain, but ongoing changes are always worth discussing with your veterinarian.

Early assessment may help identify the cause and support your pet’s comfort and quality of life.

🐾 Save this post so you know what to look for, and speak with your veterinarian if you’re concerned about your pet.
