We're proud to welcome our newest Remedial Massage Therapist Luiz Cesar de Andrade to the Knead Massage team, joining us from early September.

In Australia he is a titled Remedial Massage Therapist. However, Luiz obtained a Brazilian degree in Physiotherapy in 2017 and completed Brazillian postgraduate studies in Osteopathy in 2018.

He began his career working with athletes at a soccer club on injury prevention and rehabilitation, then moved into orthopaedic physiotherapy, prior to spending two years at the Knee and Hip Institute - treating complex musculoskeletal and running-related conditions.
His treatments combine physiotherapy principles with advanced manual therapy — dry needling, visceral manipulation, TMJ release, scar tissue and fascial fibrosis release, cupping and kinesiotaping — and are aimed at addressing the cause of dysfunction, not just the symptoms.

He's worked with high-level athletes, office workers and older clients. Luiz prides himself on following up with every person he treats to make sure results are tracking.

Thank you, Yolanda. That word — intuitive, points to something you don’t get in a classroom.

Gregor's hands were working decades before he ever enrolled in a Remedial Massage course. He comes from a family with a tradition of massage and reflexology - his aunt shaped his approach, years before formal training. The qualification came later.

Nearly 25 years on, he's passed the ten-thousand-hour mark several times over — though he'd never mention it himself. He listens, then he gets to work.

Johanna pushed a little too hard a few weeks back and paid for it in joints and muscles. What she describes next is exactly how we think remedial work should be done — a proper consult first, then a treatment built on what that conversation revealed.

Yumi trained as a physiotherapist in Japan, with a strong rehabilitation background, then spent two years honing her sports massage craft here in Brisbane. Finding tight spots others miss and reading precisely how much pressure is necessary — that's clinical training.
