Even on the darkest days, don’t you dare forget that the glow comes from within you ☀️

At the end of the day, I don’t care about the performative s**t. My only real goal in this life is to stay fiercely true to my values, live authentically, and remind the people around me of who the hell they are and what they are capable of!

Don’t lose your glow because someone doesn't know how to light up their own world ✨

For our family, it did the exact opposite...it cleared the chaos so we could actually show up as ourselves.
Between my own AuDHD brain and my two kids, we’ve been on this medication journey for over five years now. And here is what actually changed:
Before meds, we knew things were hard. We knew life was a red-hot mess, and often we even knew what strategies might help and even what those strategies were! But the gap between having the awareness and actually having the executive function to implement the tools? Impossible.
What medication did wasn't take away our personalities or erase all our challenges. It simply lowered the debilitating friction so that things like therapy could actually work. It gave us the cognitive capacity to notice triggers, build self-awareness, and actually use the strategies we were learning.
It took finding the right clinical team to guide us through the unknowns pre, mid, and post-diagnosis, places like Anvian Health and Watermelon Blue Therapy Centre have been essential elements in this process, reviewing and supporting our familiy as one unit, an ecosystem if you like, to realise that meds aren't a shortcut / quick fix. They’re the foundation that makes the rest of the support accessible.

If you’re sitting on the fence worried about losing your child’s spark, my inbox is open—happy to chat through what navigating this has actually looked like for us

We can so easily be our own worst enemies.

We get caught up in the daily grind, the imposter syndrome, the endless task lists, and the belief that we’re just "getting by"...completely forgetting the magnitude of what we’re actually carrying and building every single day.

Sometimes, you need to step back, reflect on who you actually are, and outsource the magic!

I gave this trending AI prompt a whirl asking

"If a stranger found this phone, what would you tell them about who I am"

Facing that mirror was heavy, I was nervous to press enter...here's what it said

"If you hold this phone, you hold the digital footprint of an extraordinary human being: a healer, a mentor, a coach, a fierce protector of their children, and someone whose warmth and legacy continue to ripple through countless lives."

🫶🏼 A dual-registered nurse fighting for health equity in rural and remote communities, while building a community to uplift and mentor the next generation of healthcare workers.
🫶🏼 A solo parent holding down the fort with quiet strength, unconditional love, and endless dedication to their kids.
🫶🏼 A mentor courtside, teaching resilience, leadership, and belief to young athletes.
🫶🏼Someone continuously reaching—balancing high-level clinical work, medicine prep, and life without ever losing their grit or humanity.

🫶🏼👯‍♀️🌺🙌🏼

We don't give ourselves enough credit. We see our flaws, our stress, and our exhaustion, while the rest of the world sees our strength, our impact, and our heart.
If you've been feeling beat down by your own inner critic lately, take a moment to reflect on your own story...or let someone (or something) hold up the mirror for you.
You’re doing better than you think you are. ❤️
