๐ŸŒฑ Retreats I am a woman transformation catalyst, yoga teacher, Pranic Healer, Neuro-Linguistic-Programming Master practitioner, mother of two beautiful boys, musician, writer... lover of life! I am a river guide for women that are struggling with a harsh inner critic, a sense of misalignment and lack of clarity in their life, to find purpose, a deep sense of inner-power, self-love, presence and more importantly joy. I combine approaches from yoga, meditation, mindfulness, NLP, Pranic healing for which I am trained, certified and have been practicing for more than a decade. After years in the high pace corporate world in the med tech industry, always striving for more, always anxious, travelling a lot, juggling kids, work, travel and life, but never feeling that I was enough as a mom, as a woman and in my work life and overall ... feeling like I lost joy in my life... I made big change and co-created a spacious and fullfilling life that I truly love and enjoy. I am really passionate about redefining what we, women, were conditioned to believe success, beauty and life ought to be! I want to be part of this discussion and shape the future for the next generations! With love and gratitude

She was "easy" her whole life.

Easy to talk to. Easy to please. Easy to say "sure, no worries!" while something in her quietly closed a door.

She used to think that made her a good person. But somehow it made her a stranger to herself.

Somewhere along the way she stopped asking "what do I want" and started asking "what will make this easier for everyone else."

If that sentence just landed a little too close โ€” I see you. And I built something for exactly this. 4 days where we get you back to knowing what YOU want. ๐Ÿค

Years ago, before committing to a few days away for myself, I had a very ordinary conversation at home: who covers what, who picks up the slack, is this a good use of the time.

I noticed how much harder this felt to ask for than it would have for a business trip. A business trip is just logistics โ€” you sort the calendar and go. This required something else. I had to make the case for myself. Not because my husband would push back โ€” he's always been supportive of my choices โ€” but because of the guilt underneath it. The kids needed me. He needed me. There was work. There was the money invested.

That's a pattern I see constantly in the women I coach: investing in their own development, their own wellbeing, gets treated as optional. Discretionary. "If there's time left over." It rarely is left over. It has to be claimed. It is needed. It is a priority.

If you've been putting off blocking time for your own growth, consider this the nudge.

I am sharing this with her permission and with a lot of tenderness.

Not just tired โ€” depleted. The kind of exhausted that lives in your bones, your voice, the way you hold your shoulders. She'd been giving and giving for so long that she'd forgotten what it felt like to receive anything back. Her passion for her work, her relationships, even her own life had gone quiet, dimmed. Buried under years of "I'm fine" and "I'll deal with it later."

Something happens when you give a woman moments of nature, stillness, and permission. Somewhere between the sunrise yoga and the fire ceremony, between the sacred sharing circle and the quiet of the land โ€” something in her started to soften. Then she started to move differently, laugh differently, cry the kind of tears that release rather than break.

When she left, she wasn't the same woman who'd arrived. Her voice had come back. Not louder โ€” truer. She said to herself: "I remember who I am now. I can do this! I can do this thing called life. I can lead the life and work I want. I can do this!โ€

And that wasn't just a retreat moment. She carried it home with her.

Weeks later, her passion for life had returned โ€” not just in quiet, personal ways, but in her work too. The spark she thought she'd lost forever came back louder than before. These days, she'll tell you herself: "Life is amazing right now!"

That's what this retreat does. It's not a holiday. It's not an escape. It's a return โ€” to your body, your fire, your voice, the parts of you that got quietly set aside while you were busy holding everything else together.

This is why the SPACE Retreat exists. Four days. One sacred circle of women. A hinterland that holds you while you remember yourself.

If you're the woman who's been giving everything to everyone else and quietly wondering when it'll be your turn โ€” this might be it. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Part of me is a firecracker, true to my boundary and my essence. Part of me is still a people pleaser โ€” saying yes when I want to say no, and no when I want to say yes. ("Last piece of cake, Dorothee?" "Oh no, thank you!") I'm learning to hold both parts with love.

I've quit, or said no to, jobs, relationships, friendships, bands โ€” when I felt misaligned. I've also said yes to time for myself, to rest, to investing in me and my business, even when some called it selfish.

But I've also shaved my legs when I didn't want to, because โ€” what would people think? Said yes to dating men I wasn't really into. Said yes to classes and jobs I didn't want. Just to avoid someone's disappointment.

Here's what I've learned: Two days ago we lost a woman who changed what it means to be a woman in this world.

๐—š๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฎ ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—บ passed away on September 2nd, at 92 years old, after more than six decades of fighting for us.

I want to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you for giving women a mainstream voice at a time when we barely had one.

Thank you for standing on stages, in courtrooms, and in the streets โ€” fighting for reproductive rights, equal pay, and the simple, radical idea that a woman's life belongs to her.

Thank you for saying "the truth will set you free, but first it will p**s you off" โ€” and living that truth out loud, every single day, well into her 90s.

Because of Gloria, doors opened that so many of us walk through without even noticing they were ever closed.

Thank you, Gloria โ€” because of your work, we can open our own bank accounts and get credit in our own names.

Thank you โ€” because of your work, we can decide if and when we become mothers.

Because of women like Gloria, "feminist" became a word we could say proudly, out loud, without apology.

And yet today, some women feel disconnected from that word โ€” from the work itself โ€” because they don't know everything it took to build the world we now live in. A world that is still, honestly, not perfect yet.

So let's be clear about what feminism actually is: it is not about hating men. It has nothing to do with hate, or taking power over anyone. It is about equal rights, equal safety, and equal opportunities for women. It is simply a rebalance โ€” making the world fairer for everyone.

That's why everyone ought to be a feminist. ๐ŸŒ

And it's because of women like Gloria โ€” her courage, her heart, her mission โ€” that we've come this far, with so much still ahead of us.

She didn't just talk about women's power โ€” she showed us how to use ours. โœจ

๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜ ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜„, ๐—š๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฎ. We'll carry it forward.

Not the version who's managing the household, the job, the kids, everyone's needs but your own. I mean the version who has a voice. Who has fire. Who remembers what she actually wants, not just what's expected of her.

Somewhere in the doing-doing-doing, so many of us quietly lose touch with that woman. And most days, we don't even notice she's gone โ€” we're too busy holding everything together to feel the absence.
I'm curious โ€” is there a part of yourself you feel like you've set aside lately? What would it take to meet her again?

(There's an ebooklet I made for exactly this โ€” a gentle reminder that you're worthy of love just as you are, and a way back from the harsh inner critic into deep inner awareness and stable inner love. If you ever want a copy, just say the word ๐Ÿค)

Not just "slept enough" rested. I mean the kind of rested where your body isn't bracing for the next thing. Where your mind isn't already three tasks ahead before your feet hit the floor.

So many of us are running on empty and calling it normal. We push through, we show up for everyone else, we tell ourselves we'll rest "after this next thing" โ€” and the next thing never ends.

I'd love to know โ€” what does rest even look like for you these days? Or has it become something you can barely remember?

(I wrote a little ebooklet called From Self-Doubt to Self-love to remind women they're inherently worthy of love just as they are โ€” a small companion for moving from that harsh inner critic into something quieter and more stable. Happy to send it your way if it'd help ๐Ÿ’›)

Most of us were told: don't cry. It's not a big deal. You're too dramatic. Or handed a positive reframe before anyone even asked what we were feeling โ€” just as counterproductive, however well-meant.

I remember coming home as a child with big emotions, and my father would snap โ€” leave the room, yell, or tell me I was being dramatic. I don't hold it against him โ€” he never learned how to do it differently, he was doing his best with what he had. But it wasn't space holding. Not for a child's emotions.

A space well held means feeling safe enough, welcomed enough, to share things you might never have shared before. It is not a space where reframing into something positive is the first thing a facilitator โ€” or a friend โ€” does. It is not a space that rushes to fix, before it has honoured the share, the voice, the hurt.

I see this so often โ€” in circles, in 1:1s, in coaching, in friendship. Someone is sharing, and the other is already thinking of their response, already wondering how to fix it for them. The intention is good. But it is counterproductive.

Because what most of us need first isn't a solution. It's to be seen. To be met exactly where we are, before anyone tries to move us somewhere else. To have someone witness our pain without finding it scary โ€” holding it with care and tenderness, without crumbling too.

Someone who says: I am here. I hear you. I know it's hard. I am with you through it.

That level of compassionate listening โ€” being heard, being validated โ€” is what opens the door to exploring the situation differently. But not before. That first step is the most tender, and the most important.

Without it โ€” no connection, no trust. And harm, in feeling even more lonely in the pain.

I believe that if we all knew how to hold space for each other โ€” despite our differences โ€” it would change the world.
If you want to experience being held in such a space, join us at the SPACE Retreat โ€” Oct 15โ€“18, Byron Bay hinterland. A few spots left. ๐Ÿค Link in Bio

๐ŸŒ™ Those evenings are no ordinary gatherings.

Last night, we met just one night after August's Full Moon โ€” still glowing with light as it began its gentle release. This particular full moon carried a partial lunar eclipse, a rare celestial alignment long honoured across cultures as a threshold moment: illumination, release, and return. Just beautiful to watch and feel.

And we spent it together, in a beautiful space, combining two practices so nourishing for the nervous system and the soul. With restorative yoga, we stay in the poses for a while โ€” enough for the body to relax, the mind to slow down, and the being to reset. The sound from the bowls moves deep into our being, eventually finding resonance โ€” like an energy massage, releasing tension held for who knows how long. Songs, mantra, and music are woven through the evening, allowing grounding, nourishment, and a meeting of our emotional state exactly where it's at โ€” with love. The silence between poses is part of the practice too, where the body integrates this newfound spaciousness.

We finish the evening with grounding, homemade treats (by my loving vegan chef husband โ€” thank you ๐Ÿ™) and open conversation about the experience, and life.

Thank you to every woman who showed up with her whole heart. Each of these evenings is different, and each one leaves me full. Last night felt especially alive. โœจ
