What a great weekend at the Mackay Triathlon Festival! 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️

PEHA's Referral Engagement Manager, Kristy, attended this year's event, representing both PEHA and Mater Emergency. Kristy had a great time chatting with event organisers and participants while handing out water and Mater hats to keep everyone hydrated and protected from the morning sun 🌞

Congratulations to everyone who took part, and well done to the organisers and volunteers for delivering another successful event. Thank you to Mater for your continued support in helping PEHA support these fantastic community events.

Yesterday, PEHA's site teams and support office came together to mark R U OK Day 2026. Days like this matter to us as an organisation as they're a chance to check in on each other and connect. PEHA is proud of how our teams work together across our Australia-wide network to support not only each other, but also those in our care.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible site management teams for the important role you play in supporting your people and the communities around you. And to our dedicated support staff, thank you for everything you do each day to help PEHA provide expert care.

We're delighted to announce that Dr Phil Gaudin will be joining us on stage at CCIM 2026.

Phil is an Emergency Physician and business owner who founded Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) in 2017, now Australia's biggest operator of private emergency departments, treating over 120,000 patients a year across 10 EDs and 2 GP practices. In July, PEHA opened Australia's first stand-alone Emergency Department, a model set to revolutionise emergency care nationally. Phil is also a Senior Lecturer at JCU's School of Medicine & Dentistry, and outside work loves the Hawks, fishing and marathon running.

This week, Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA), together with Ramsay Health Care, celebrated the opening of the new Warringal Private Hospital Emergency Department.

The purpose-built 16-bed ED provides a new choice for emergency care in a community where access matters — with fast access to emergency specialists, low wait times and care for both adults and children above 12 months old.

Congratulations to Warringal ED Site Director Dr Hugh Singleton and Deputy Site Director Dr Jonathan Cheah, and thank you to the entire Ramsay team and everyone who helped bring this project to life.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together — and even prouder of what this will mean for the local community.
