We're delighted to announce that Dr Phil Gaudin will be joining us on stage at CCIM 2026.

Phil is an Emergency Physician and business owner who founded Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) in 2017, now Australia's biggest operator of private emergency departments, treating over 120,000 patients a year across 10 EDs and 2 GP practices. In July, PEHA opened Australia's first stand-alone Emergency Department, a model set to revolutionise emergency care nationally. Phil is also a Senior Lecturer at JCU's School of Medicine & Dentistry, and outside work loves the Hawks, fishing and marathon running.

This week, Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA), together with Ramsay Health Care, celebrated the opening of the new Warringal Private Hospital Emergency Department.

The purpose-built 16-bed ED provides a new choice for emergency care in a community where access matters — with fast access to emergency specialists, low wait times and care for both adults and children above 12 months old.

Congratulations to Warringal ED Site Director Dr Hugh Singleton and Deputy Site Director Dr Jonathan Cheah, and thank you to the entire Ramsay team and everyone who helped bring this project to life.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together — and even prouder of what this will mean for the local community.

Canberra Emergency Care Centre’s leadership team was pleased to welcome Mr. Philip Thompson OAM MP, Federal Member for Herbert in Queensland, and Shadow Minister for Defence Industry and Personnel, to our facility.

Mr. Thompson toured our new private emergency department and discussed how our team can better support veterans in our community.

Many veterans have expressed that navigating healthcare after service can be challenging —long waits, unclear costs, being sent offsite for basic imaging or scans.

As a private emergency department, we welcome everyone, offering shorter wait times, specialist-led care, along with imaging and other services onsite.

For veterans eligible under Veterans' Affairs, we also offer no out-of-pocket facility fees, with costs invoiced directly to DVA, meaning less admin for patients.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Thompson as visits like these help us to better understand how we can improve our service.

What a great weekend at the Yeppoon Running Festival! 🌅

PEHA was proud to collaborate with Mater as a Major Event Partner sponsor of this year's event, with our teams onsite handing out water and fresh fruit to help keep participants hydrated and fuelled throughout the morning.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, and well done to the organisers and volunteers for delivering another successful event. It's fantastic to see so many people out enjoying the beautiful sunrise and being part of such a great community event. 🏃💧🍎
