Recently, we also hosted a free professional learning session in partnership with Glide Products & Clinical Educator, Nabil Kodsi, to explore how pressure mapping can support better pressure care, positioning & comfort for clients with complex needs.

Innovation is most powerful when it’s shared.

At Power Mobility, we believe education should go beyond presentations and theory. That’s why our recent Alternative Drive Controls & Virtual Reality Workshop gave therapists the opportunity to experience emerging technologies firsthand.

From alternative drive controls such as smart glasses, headsets and foot controls that enable individuals with complex physical needs to access independent mobility, through to immersive VR technology, attendees explored practical solutions that are reshaping the future of power wheelchair assessment and training.

VR offers exciting possibilities for clinicians, including the ability to assess mobility skills, support scripting decisions, build user confidence, and create safe, repeatable learning environments before a client ever drives a power wheelchair in the real world.

By bringing together clinicians, technology and hands-on learning experiences, Power Mobility continues to lead the way in advancing knowledge and innovation within the assistive technology sector.

Yesterday on the Gold Coast, therapists joined us for our Intermediate MAT Evaluation Workshop - the perfect blend of theory, real-life case studies and hands-on learning.

Led by Sunrise Medical Clinical Director, Amy Bjornson, in partnership with our experienced AT Consultants, the session was all about turning assessment findings into confident, clinically-sound equipment decisions that truly improve client outcomes.

Supporting better outcomes starts with better knowledge 💡

On Friday, Power Mobility was proud to participate in an education session with the Spinal Cord Injury Liaison Service (SCILS) at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, bringing together OTs, physios and nurses from Queensland Health.

The focus? Building confidence in the management and rehabilitation of people with new spinal cord injuries — where the right equipment plays a critical role.

Power Mobility’s Assistive Technology Consultants, Jack and Scott Dawson shared practical insights into wheelchair and shower commode prescription, highlighting key risk factors clinicians need to consider.
