So I have started hanging at the gym, from a bar, using my hands. I'm up to around 45 seconds hangtime, and I do this around 3 X PW. I could feel myself lengthen, so I took a video. Is it good for you? I decided to check: Answer is YES. Why? Because:
1) Spinal decompression rehydrates discs, relieves nerve pressure, and preserves height.
2) It promotes shoulder health
3) It improves grip strength
4) It improves posture.
Recommendations found online are 1-2 mins deadhang, 3-4 X PW, but build into it. I didn't measure how much I lengthened, but it felt good, and I could look my straight son in the eye after.
