High Intensity Paediatric Disability Support Worker – Redbank Plains
Ardent Disability Care is seeking experienced and reliable Disability Support Workers to join an established support team providing high-intensity, one-to-one care to a paediatric participant in Redbank Plains.
This is a casual position with regular rostered shifts available. Applicants must be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week. Day, afternoon and awake overnight shifts are available.
Pay: $45.28–$54.28 per hour, depending on SCHADS classification, qualifications and experience, plus applicable penalty rates.
About the Role
You will provide individualised, high-quality support in accordance with the participant’s care plans and clinical requirements.
Duties include:
* PEG/enteral feeding and associated care
* Seizure monitoring and management
* Medication assistance
* Personal care and daily living support
* Monitoring and responding appropriately to changes in the participant’s condition
* Accurate documentation and progress notes
* Following individual care plans, clinical protocols and NDIS requirements
* Supporting the participant’s safety, wellbeing, independence and quality of life
About You
We are looking for support workers who are confident working in a high-intensity paediatric environment and understand the importance of consistency, reliability and following clinical care plans.
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current Blue Card
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Current Australian driver’s licence
* Experience supporting people with disability
* Demonstrated high-intensity support experience
* Experience with PEG/enteral feeding and seizure management
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of an established team
* Availability for a minimum of 3 shifts per week
* Unrestricted, ongoing working rights in Australia
Applicants on temporary visas or with restricted working hours will not be considered.
Previous experience supporting children or young people with complex care needs will be highly regarded.
