Families are often the first support system a person has, but they should never have to navigate care alone.
This International Day of Families, we recognise the important role families, carers, guardians, and support networks play in the wellbeing, independence, and confidence of people living with disability or recovering from injury.
In the NDIS and NIISQ space, family-centred care means:
• Including families in planning and decision-making
• Supporting participant goals at home and in the community
• Encouraging independence while strengthening support systems
• Working collaboratively with support coordinators, allied health, and care teams
• Recognising carers and families as part of the journey, not just observers
At Neta Care, we believe quality support extends beyond the participant. Strong support networks create stronger outcomes.
Whether it’s assistance with daily living, community access, recovery support, or allied health services, care works best when people feel supported together.
💚Because behind every milestone is often a family, friend, carer, or community cheering them on.💚
Tag or thank a family member, carer, or support person who has made a difference in your journey 💚
