A few recent moments with Carolyn.

Some creativity, getting out and about in the community, and spending time by the beautiful Broome coastline.

Art, fresh air, connection (and doing more of what Carolyn enjoys).

💚 Celebrating 5 Years of Deleesha at KCG! 💚

Today we're celebrating an incredible milestone as Deleesha Wright (or Dilly to most) marks five years with Kimberley Care Group.

Since joining KCG on 30 August 2021, Dilly has made a lasting impact through her kindness, dedication and genuine care for the people she supports. She has built strong relationships with clients and their families, shared her culture with colleagues and participants, and continues to make a difference every day.

When asked what she's most proud of, Dilly said it's the connections she's made with families and the opportunity to share her cultural knowledge.

She describes her KCG journey in three words: Enjoyable. Flexible. Patience.

Thank you, Dilly, for everything you've brought to KCG over the past five years. We are so grateful to have you as part of our team.

Here's to many more! 💚

We never get tired of seeing our sign at Broome Airport ✈️🤎

From starting out as a three-person support worker team in Broome to the KCG we are today, moments like this make us stop and feel pretty proud of how far we’ve come.

Today, we’re incredibly proud to be providing supports across Broome, Derby and Geraldton, while staying connected to the values KCG started with: genuine relationships, individualised support and doing things a little differently.

Community access can be about the simplest things; getting out, enjoying the fresh air, visiting places you love and having the freedom to spend your day your way.

A little fresh air, a wander by the water and the freedom to enjoy the day at your own pace. 💙🌿🌊

A great day at the Geraldton Disability Expo in July! 💙🌿

We loved being part of this year’s Expo, connecting with the Geraldton community, meeting other local services and sharing a little more about KCG and supports.

Our interactive activities got people thinking, looking within and sharing what matters to them; their goals, hopes and the things they’d like to prioritise in their lives. 🌳

For us, it was a beautiful reminder that connection matters. Connection to ourselves, to the people around us and to our community.

A big thank you to the City of Greater Geraldton for bringing the community together, and to everyone who stopped by our stall, had a go at the activities or simply came over for a yarn. 💙

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation Tasmanian Branch are devastated to learn of the tragic death of a long time Registered Nurse and ANMF Tasmanian Branch member, Elaine Gee.

We extend out deepest condolences to Elaine’s husband and boys as this heart breaking time and to Elaines’ extended family and friends.

In our thoughts too are the countless nurses and midwives who have worked with and knew Elaine through her work as a dedicated Nurse at the Launceston General Hospital and across the Northern Region.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Elaine’s husband and children and can be accessed here https://bit.ly/GoFundMeElaineGee for those who wish to make a donation Fundraiser for Rodney Gee by Lisa Gibson: Please support Elaine’s family through this tragic loss

The Nursing profession and the Tasmanian community will be forever indebted to Elaine and her tireless dedication to those in her care and to the Tasmanian Health System. Taken much too soon but always remembered. Rest in Peace.

Return to Country trips are so much more than a journey home. ❤️

Malcolm is from Halls Creek but now lives in Geraldton, making opportunities to return to Country is incredibly important for his cultural and emotional well-being.

Here he is with Jose, enjoying time back on Country and reconnecting with the people, places and culture that mean so much to him. Jose always prioritises what our clients need, and his dynamic and flexible supports mean it's rare we say "no" to a request! Thanks to Jose for all your hard work.

Supporting our clients to stay connected to Country, even when they live far from home, is one of the most meaningful and beautiful things we have the privilege of doing. 🖤💛❤️
