âĄïžWant my FREE 11-page support guide on how to use nutrition and nervous system practices to support the bodyâs natural defences against H. pylori overgrowth? Comment âHP SUPPORTâ and Iâll send it to you. âĄïž
If youâve been relying on infusions and iron supps and your ferritin keeps going backwards, itâs a pretty good sign that your body isnât absorbing and utilising iron effectively.
đ H. pylori is a bacteria that colonises the stomach lining and can disrupt the naturally acidic stomach environment. This impairs the breakdown and absorption of key nutrients from food (and supps!), most affected being iron, vitamin B12, zinc and magnesium (all ironâs cofactors for metabolism!).
Symptoms to look out for:
- Low ferritin despite infusions, iron supps and red meat in the diet
- Fatigue and mental health dysfunction (anxiety, panic, low mood)
- Hair loss/slow hair & nail growth
- Dizziness/vertigo
- Poor exercise recovery
- Bloating, reflux or digestive symptoms
- Underactive thyroid, cold feet/hands, sluggish metabolism
If this is you, itâs worth exploring whether there is an underlying gut factor contributing to the picture. This is exactly why I use GI-MAP testing inside my 1:1 Gut Healing Program.
đ©Taking out the guesswork, the GI MAP can assess for H. pylori and its virulence factors and antibiotic resistant genes, bacterial overgrowths, opportunistic microbes, parasites and yeast infections, inflammation markers and digestive function markers to better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and nutrient deficiencies.
đ If youâre ready to investigate the root cause of your low ferritin and get a structured plan to move forward with, applications for my 1:1 4 month program The Nourished Gut Method are now open. Comment âMETHODâ and Iâll send you all the details and application form đ€
