We have some exciting news to share with our Buff Point Pharmacy community!

Later this year, our wonderful team member Shania will be commencing maternity leave as she prepares to welcome a new addition to her family. We know you'll join us in congratulating Shania and wishing her all the very best for this exciting new chapter. 🎉

As we prepare for her temporary absence, we're also excited to welcome Nijik to the Buff Point Pharmacy family as our new Pharmacy Intern.

Nijik will be working alongside our team over the coming months and will help ensure we continue providing the friendly, professional care our community has come to expect while Shania is away.

⚡ COMMUNITY UPDATE – WE'RE OPEN AS USUAL THIS FRIDAY ⚡

Many residents and businesses in our area will have received notice from Ausgrid regarding the planned power interruption scheduled for Friday 12 June, as part of important network improvement works designed to help provide a safer and more reliable electricity supply for our community.

We want to reassure our customers that Buff Point Pharmacy will remain OPEN and trading as usual throughout the outage.
Thanks to a coordinated effort between our team and Ausgrid, we have made arrangements to operate using backup generator power, ensuring that:
✅ Prescriptions can continue to be dispensed
✅ Essential pharmacy services remain available
✅ Our medication refrigeration and cold chain requirements are maintained
✅ Webster pack collections and customer support continue uninterrupted

We know how important access to healthcare services is, particularly for our elderly and vulnerable community members, and we're committed to being here when you need us.

A big thank you to Ausgrid for their communication and planning around these essential infrastructure upgrades, and to our staff who have worked behind the scenes to prepare for the day.

Most importantly, thank you to our wonderful Buff Point community for your ongoing support, patience and loyalty. We are proud to serve such a fantastic community and look forward to welcoming you as normal on Friday.

We’re searching for an experienced Dispensary Technician / Webster Packer to join our busy, community pharmacy as a valued team member takes some time away.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced dispensary, ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, accuracy, and keeping things running smoothly.

💊 What you’ll be doing:
✔️ Preparing Webster packs (DAAs) accurately and efficiently
✔️ Supporting a busy dispensary workflow
✔️ Managing packing schedules, scripts, and patient timelines
✔️ Working closely with pharmacists and the wider team
✔️ Helping ensure safe and timely supply of medications

✅ What we’re looking for:
• Proven experience as a Dispensary Technician and/or Webster Packer
• Experience with Z Dispense + WebsterCare (essential)
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise in a busy environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable, organised, and team-oriented

🌺 Lest We Forget 🌺

This Anzac Day, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of the men and women who have served our country.

In respect of this important day, our pharmacy will be closed on Saturday 25th April and Monday 27th April as we take time to reflect and pay tribute to the Anzac legacy.

We will remember their bravery, their mateship, and the values they fought to protect — a spirit that continues to shape who we are today.
