Your stubborn belly fat is not a calorie problem, it’s a value system problem.

When you’re eating enough protein and fibre, sleeping, and your biology is actually working, the deficit takes care of itself.

The real problem is that so many women have metabolic rates that are genuinely struggling. Low muscle mass. Poor sleep. Leptin resistance. Insulin resistance. A thyroid that is not firing properly. These are not willpower problems. These are biological problems, and they are all screaming at your body to store more fat and slow everything down.

Our food is not the same food our grandparents ate.

Soil degradation is real. Decades of monocropping have stripped the earth of the diverse microbial life that transfers minerals and nutrients into plants. When the soil is depleted, the food grown in it is depleted. And when the food is depleted, we are depleted.

This is not a conspiracy. It is agricultural science.

The supplement industry has built an entire business model on the back of this problem. And while I am not against targeted supplementation, I refuse to accept it as the permanent solution to a problem we actually have the power to fix.

The fix starts with where you spend your money.

Support farmers who rotate crops and build soil biology. Buy from producers who aren’t monocropping their land into dust. Choose food grown in living soil, not dead dirt propped up by synthetic fertiliser.

Every dollar you spend is a vote. Vote for the farmers fighting to give us back real food.

Because the only way we stop this is to stop funding the system that caused it.

Too many women have been living under a full sense of security that’s been given to them by their blood sugar readings.

You can have raging insulin resistance your entire life and still have blood sugar and HbA1c show up Fine on a blood test.

HbA1c and blood sugar tell us about your blood sugar and EVENTUALLY should correlate with insulin and even leptin resistance. I often don’t see that correlation play out in real world practice.

Instead I see people with raging metabolic dysfunction tell me that the doctors have checked their metabolism and their markers and they’re fine 🤷🏻‍♀️
