💙 Happy Father’s Day from Hera Support!

Today we celebrate the dads, stepdads, grandads, carers, father figures and all the wonderful men who support, encourage and care for the people around them.

We also hold space for those whose dads are no longer with us, and for anyone who finds today a little difficult. 💙

However Father’s Day looks for you, we hope your Sunday is filled with connection, kindness and a little time to enjoy the people who matter most.

Our Support Coordinator Julie Tracey had a very important little job while visiting a participant recently: bottle-feeding their 3-week-old lamb. 🍼
It’s moments like these that make our days a little more special and remind us that genuine connection is often found in the unexpected.
Safe to say Julie was pretty happy with this particular assignment! 💙🐑

Hera Support was founded by people with lived experience of disability and the NDIS.

They understood that navigating the NDIS could feel overwhelming, confusing and, at times, isolating. They also recognised the challenges many people face in finding the right support, particularly in regional communities and for those from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Rather than simply providing a service, Hera was created with a clear purpose: to walk alongside participants, helping them understand their NDIS plan, connect with the right supports and build confidence to achieve their goals.

Today, that purpose remains at the heart of everything we do.

Because support is about more than services. It's about people, relationships and helping every person live the life they choose. 💙

💙 When life gets more complex, you don't have to navigate it alone.

A Specialist Support Coordinator provides a higher level of support for participants facing more complex circumstances that may impact their ability to access and implement their NDIS plan.

This can include working across:
🏥 Health services
🏠 Housing supports
🎓 Education services
⚖️ Justice services
🤝 Community supports

Their role is to help reduce barriers, coordinate services, advocate where needed and ensure participants can focus on working towards their goals.

At Hera, our Specialist Support Coordinators bring extensive experience in complex case management and work alongside participants, families and service providers to achieve meaningful outcomes.
