It is with a heavy but deeply grateful heart that we are writing to share some difficult news. After much reflection and professional guidance, Home Care To Me Bunbury Geographe will be formally closing our support service doors on the 30th of June 2026.

We know that changes in the NDIS and Aged Care sectors are already causing so much exhaustion, confusion, and anxiety for participants and family carers. We know this news might feel overwhelming, and we want to validate those feelings. It is completely okay to feel sad, worried, or uncertain right now. We are feeling it too, and we are holding space for you.

Please know that our commitment to your safety, dignity, and choice is as strong today as it has always been. We are not going anywhere in a hurry, and we have a very gentle, supportive plan to wrap around you:

✨ Your current shifts are completely safe. We are fully staffed and will continue to deliver all agreed-upon care shifts exactly as scheduled until 30 June 2026.
✨ Your records are secure. Throughout July 2026, we will safely prepare and wrap up the last of progress notes, reports and invoicing.
✨ Our website resources are staying online. We are keeping our local resource hub and advocacy guides active at www.caretomebunbury.com.au for the next 12 months (until mid-2027) as a completely free gift to our Southwest community.

To our incredible participants, aged care consumers, and devoted family carers: Thank you. Thank you for inviting us into your homes, sharing your daily lives, letting us steady your arms, and celebrating your beautiful milestones with us. You have trusted us with your stories, and that is a privilege we will carry with us forever.

To our wonderful support workers and local allied health partners: thank you for your compassion, safety, and unwavering commitment to quality regional care.

We want to talk through this transition with you in whatever communication format makes you feel safest and most comfortable.

Please reach out to Mel directly at 0423 588 258 or [email protected] to let us know if you would prefer a phone call, a text message, an in-person visit, or if you would like us to coordinate directly with your Support Coordinator or family.

On our website landing page, we have also uploaded a WA Advocacy Directory and a powerful Letter Template to our local MPs to help you stand up against the rushed NDIS legislation and protect regional services. Even though our chapter is closing, your voice and your rights remain incredibly powerful.

With our deepest love, respect, and gratitude,

Mel and the Home Care To Me Team 💚

A very important part of picking an NDIS or Aged Care provider, isn't just what they do well, it's what they do when things go wrong.

At Home Care To Me, we have culture of safety and routinely practice what to do when things go wrong, how to support the people around us and how to make sure your rights are being upheld through it all.

Life doesn't always work out perfectly, but having a strategy, experience and compassion to address incidents when they happen makes all the difference.

Incident reports and feedback keeps the people we support safe, our team safe and the wider industry safe. You won't be in trouble for reporting feedback or incidents.
