I've always been interested in the parts of human experience that aren't easily explained — intuition, symbolism, spirituality, the unconscious, and those strange moments when we seem to know something before we can explain how we know it.
I grew up in an environment where those parts of myself weren't particularly encouraged. Psychology became the language through which I first felt able to explore them.
So I studied psychology.
Eventually, I completed a Master's degree in psychology and opened my own psychotherapy practice, which I ran for two years.
But even then, my work never fitted neatly into one box.
I loved psychology and science. I was equally fascinated by spirituality, symbolism and the things that couldn't always be neatly measured or explained. Tarot had been part of my own life for years, and it increasingly found its way into the way I thought about people, change and the deeper patterns running through our lives.
And for two years, I had the enormous privilege of sitting with people during some of the most complicated moments of their lives.
Relationships ending and beginning. Grief. Uncertainty. Big decisions. Feeling completely stuck. Knowing that something had to change without knowing what came next.
That experience changed the way I listen to people.
Then I moved to Western Australia and decided to step away from psychotherapy. For the first time, I gave myself permission to follow this other thread completely.
Now I read tarot.
And although a tarot reading with me isn't psychotherapy, everything I've learned about sitting with another human being comes into the room with me.
You don't need to have the perfect question.
You might be at a crossroads. You might be trying to understand a relationship. Something in your life might be ending or beginning. You might know exactly what you want to ask — or simply have the feeling that something is changing and you need to understand where you're standing.
We'll slow things down.
We'll lay out the cards and tune in to what's emerging — where you've been, what's happening now, what might be asking for your attention, and what possibilities are opening ahead of you.
I'm not interested in giving you a neat answer just for the sake of giving you one. Sometimes what comes through affirms something you already know. Sometimes it takes us somewhere neither of us expected.
