LETâS TALK PROTEIN
Youâve probably heard that protein is important, but itâs not just about hitting a number each day.
The quality of your protein source and the ingredients that come with it matter too.
You might think, âIâll just track my calories and make sure Iâm getting enough protein.â
And yes calories and protein matter.
But nutrition is about more than numbers.
Itâs also about where your protein is coming from, the quality of your overall diet, your micronutrient intake, digestion, activity levels and your individual needs.
Your protein requirements are individual and can depend on your age, body size, activity levels, goals and overall health.
And your blood work can sometimes give us clues about your overall nutritional status, which is why I like looking at the bigger picture.
When I choose a convenient protein option, I look for good-quality protein and simple ingredients rather than products packed with unnecessary additives and fillers.
Itâs not just about eating enough. Itâs about nourishing your body well.
