Clinic owners: most of your patients find you after the front desk has gone home.

At 9pm, your website has to answer what reception would:
✅ Do you treat what I've got?
✅ Who will I see?
✅ Can I book right now?
✅ Referral? Health fund?
✅ Where do I park?

And all of it within the AHPRA advertising rules.

Try it tonight. Open your own website on your phone and see if you'd book.

7 kW or 22 kW? Most first-time EV charger buyers have no idea, and they shouldn't need to.

Most Australian homes are single-phase power. The bigger chargers need three-phase. Sell the wrong one and you've got a return and an unhappy electrician.

Shayona Trix sells EV chargers Australia-wide. We built their site so the catalogue helps people choose:
→ Products organised by spec
→ Separate paths for homeowners and fleet buyers
→ Guides next to the products

If your customers have to ring you to work out which product they need, your website isn't doing its job yet.

Free shipping Australia-wide sounds great on a banner. It's a lot less great on an order going to Broome.

One flat rate means your metro orders quietly pay for your remote ones, and some orders lose money before they're packed.

Better options:
✅ Rates by postcode zone: metro, regional, remote
✅ A higher free-shipping threshold for remote areas
✅ Weight bands for bulky products
✅ Click and collect for locals

And show the rule early. Nobody likes a surprise at the last step of checkout.

Online shop owners: Black Friday is Fri 27 November. Make your changes now, then leave the site alone.

The October checklist:
✅ Do a real test order on your phone, including Afterpay or Zip
✅ Check sold-out items actually stop selling
✅ Test your discount codes before the day
✅ Load your top product pages on mobile data
✅ Make sure your Christmas delivery cut-offs are right

From mid-November: no new plugins, no theme changes, no surprises.

We build and look after WooCommerce and Shopify shops for Australian businesses.

Before you spend money on an app, ask one question: does it need to be in the App Store?

A web app can sit on your customer's home screen, open full screen and keep them signed in. No App Store approval, no platform cut, no waiting for updates.

RasoiBox's customers order weekly meal boxes, pick a delivery date and their dishes, and add it to their home screen. There's no app in the store. There didn't need to be.

A native app makes sense when you need Bluetooth, background location or push notifications at the core. Otherwise, start on the web.

A website update at 2am on a Saturday, with nobody watching, is how a contact form quietly stops working for a whole weekend.

If you look after your own site:
✅ Back up first, and know how to restore it
✅ Test updates on a copy of the site before the real one
✅ Update early in the week, during business hours
✅ Afterwards, actually send yourself a test enquiry

That's the whole routine behind our website care plans. Updates tested on staging first, daily offsite backups, every month.

Tradies, be honest. When you miss a call on the tools, what happens to it?

For a lot of tradies the answer is "I ring back at smoko." By then the customer has rung someone else.

Four small fixes:
✅ Set your phone to text back missed calls
✅ Make your website form ask what you'd ask on the phone (job, suburb, photos)
✅ Get after-hours enquiries on your phone, not lost in email
✅ Click-to-call on every page

Whoever gets back first usually wins the job. It's rarely about price.

There's a system in your business you said you'd sort out this financial year.

You know the one. It came up in July, when everyone was full of good intentions and the BAS was done. Came up again in August, in a conversation that finished with "let's look at it after the busy period."

It's the end of September. A quarter of the financial year gone — and what's left has Christmas shutdown in the middle and January on the other side. Nobody in this country starts anything in January.

It isn't urgent. That's exactly why it's survived a quarter. It's just quietly costing someone four hours a week, and nothing that isn't on fire ever gets scheduled.

Don't try to fix it. Just find out what it would take.

An hour tells you whether it's a two-day job or a two-month one — completely different decisions. Usually it's the first, and people are surprised.

Someone in Melbourne typed this into Google, word for word:

"looking for a woocommerce developer in melbourne to integrate my online store with my pos system. any suggestions"

That's not a keyword. That's a retailer at a counter with a specific problem.

Before: the POS knows what's on the shelf. The website has its own opinion. Someone reconciles them on a Sunday. You oversell, apologise, refund. So you start holding stock back from the website "just in case" — deliberately not selling things you have, to protect yourself from a system you don't trust.

That last part is the real cost, and it never turns up anywhere you can measure.

After: one stock position. The website sells what's on the shelf. Click and collect stops being a leap of faith. Stocktake stops being a fortnight of dread.

Usually a few days of work, not a rebuild. Square, Lightspeed, Kounta, MYOB, Xero — the integration isn't the hard part.

Three things we check every month that nobody asks us to check.

1️⃣ Whether the backup RESTORES — not whether it ran. Different facts, and only one's any use at 2am. A backup you've never restored is a belief, not a backup.

2️⃣ Whether the contact form still delivers. We send a test enquiry. Forms break silently more than anything else on a site — and the failure mode is that nothing happens. No error. Just fewer enquiries, and no way to tell it from a quiet month.

3️⃣ What changed that we didn't do. New plugin, new admin user, a file with a fresh date. Usually it's your marketing agency doing something reasonable. Occasionally it isn't.

None of it makes your site faster. It's the difference between finding out from a monitoring check and finding out from a customer.

That's what ongoing website support is for 👉 webchampion.com.au/care-plans/
