At Solace Acupuncture, our treatment rooms are intentionally designed to feel like a soft landing place — somewhere you can exhale the moment you walk in.
Every detail is chosen to support slowing down, grounding, and feeling held in your own process.

The end of the year can pull our energy in so many directions. Between the year that's been, extra social events, and the general December buzz, it’s easy to feel stretched thin or disconnected from your own rhythm.

Stepping into a space that feels calm and safe can make all the difference.
Here, you’re invited to rest, soften your edges, and reconnect with your body’s wisdom while receiving acupuncture.

If you’ve been craving a moment of stillness or simply wanting to take better care of yourself through the busy season, these rooms are ready for you.

Extra appointments opened through December.

As we shift into summer, there’s often this subtle lift with earlier mornings, warmer air, a natural pull to get outside more and reconnect with the people we love. In Chinese Medicine, that’s very much the Heart and Fire of the season coming through: connection, expression, warmth.

But because all of this arrives right in the middle of December, it can also feel like a lot. Full calendars, end-of-year deadlines, social plans stacked on top of each other… even the joyful things can leave us feeling stretched thin.

TCM reminds us that the Heart thrives on connection, but it also needs steadiness. Too much heat or activity and we can tip into restlessness, poor sleep, feeling scattered, or just that “crispy around the edges” kind of exhaustion.

A few simple things can help keep you balanced as we move through the season:
• slow, quiet mornings or evenings with fewer screens
• time in nature outside the peak heat think early beach trips or late afternoon walks
• warm, simple meals with some lighter cooling foods to compliment
• small pauses in your week that give your nervous system a moment to settle

You don’t have to do them perfectly — just gently, in a way that supports you through this busy-but-beautiful time of year.

And if you need a bit of support along the way, clinic is here for you.
A space to restore, reconnect and find Solace. 🤍

It's been three weeks in the new space and everything is coming together. I’ve loved hearing how easy it is to find and park at, and how the new rooms still carry that same sense of warmth and calm.

Between moving, rebranding, and keeping treatments flowing, posting on socials definitely slipped down the list, but I’m slowly finding my way back into a rhythm.

It's been wonderful to welcome a mix of new and familiar faces into the new space and if you've been thinking about booking in, know that our appointment capacity has increased with the move! So if that niggle has returned, end of year stress is ramping up, you're planning to conceive next year or you're ready to support your painful or irregular cycles- I'd love to welcome you into the clinic. 🤍

If you’re hoping to conceive at the start of next year, now is the time to begin preparing. 🌿

In Chinese Medicine, the three months before conception are seen as a key window to nourish, restore, and create balance — supporting the body to be in its best state for new life.

From a biomedical perspective, it also takes around 90 days for eggs and s***m to fully develop. This means the choices you make now around rest, nutrition, stress, and overall wellbeing can directly influence reproductive health.

Preconception care isn’t only about fertility — it’s also about feeling stronger, calmer, and more balanced in yourself. Acupuncture and herbal medicine (when appropriate) can support cycle regulation, stress, digestion, sleep, and energy, creating a foundation that helps the whole body thrive.

Beginning now gives you space to prepare gently, aligning with both the body’s rhythms and the science of reproductive health.

In Chinese Medicine, spring is the season of growth, renewal, and fresh direction. With it can come a sense of renewed vitality — the feeling of wanting to move forward, make plans, and bring ideas to life.

But this same energy can also feel overwhelming. You might notice impatience, frustration, or the sense of so much to do, but not knowing where to start.

Certain acupuncture points, like LR3 (Tai Chong) and GB41 (Zu Lin Qi), are traditionally described as supporting clarity, steadiness, and the release of tension — helping us move with greater flow into the season.

Simple practices like moving outdoors, stretching with the morning light, or choosing fresh, light foods can also support balance as we step into Spring.

If you’re feeling the shifts of the season in your body or emotions, acupuncture can be a supportive way to realign with your rhythm.

Sleep is one of the body’s deepest forms of nourishment. It restores energy, repairs tissues, and allows the mind to settle.

From a Chinese Medicine perspective, restful sleep depends not only on the quieting of an overactive mind, but also on the body having enough nourishment to anchor the mind through the night. When resources are depleted, the mind may drift, leading to difficulty falling asleep, frequent waking, or early rising.

Even if sleep isn’t your main concern, it’s something we often focus on together. Because when sleep is disrupted, it affects every part of life — mood, energy, immunity, hormones, and overall wellbeing. Whether you’re coming in for fertility, painful periods, a sore shoulder, or digestive issues, we’ll always check in on your sleep and aim to see it improving alongside your other symptoms.

Treatment with acupuncture and Chinese Medicine takes a holistic approach — calming the nervous system, replenishing resources, and supporting the natural rhythm of rest and wake. Herbal medicine, lifestyle guidance, and dietary suggestions may also be included where appropriate.

Each treatment is tailored to the individual, with the aim of helping you feel more grounded, rested, and restored.

We find ourselves in that in-between space—where one day feels like spring and the next morning slips back into winter’s chill. This back-and-forth can stir something within us too: restlessness, tension in the body, disrupted sleep, or a feeling of being a little unsettled.

In TCM, spring is the season of renewal, growth, and fresh beginnings. Its energy rises upward and outward, just like the shoots breaking through the soil. But just as the weather shifts suddenly, so can we—sometimes with ease, sometimes with resistance.

Acupuncture offers a gentle way to smooth this transition, supporting balance in both body and mind. It helps us stay grounded, carry forward the quiet wisdom of winter, and open fully to the momentum of spring. 🌱✨
