High Intensity Disability Support Worker – Casual
North West Coast Tasmania

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and compassionate High Intensity Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis, with the potential for permanent part-time employment for the right person.
This role is suited to someone who has genuine experience supporting people with high-intensity and complex care needs and understands the importance of safe, consistent and person-centred support.

About You

The successful applicant will have:

* Previous experience working in high-intensity disability support – Required.
* Relevant disability/support qualification or certificate
* Current WWVP (Working with Vulnerable People) card
* Understanding and practical experience with skin integrity and pressure care
* Experience with catheter care
* Strong practical experience using hoists and other manual handling equipment, with a focus on safe transfers and participant safety
* Ability to understand and follow the participant’s care plan
* Ability to follow instructions and recommendations provided by allied health professionals
* Ability to consistently follow workplace policies, procedures and protocols
* Strong attention to detail when providing personal and clinical support
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with the participant, family and wider support team
* Reliable, responsible and confident working independently
* A genuine commitment to providing safe, respectful and person-centred care

Are you passionate about helping people with disability achieve their employment goals?

Due to significant interest and growth, we’re looking for a positive, energetic and motivated Job Trainer to join the team

What you’ll be doing:

• Work 1:1 with participants to discover their strengths, interests and career goals
• Explore employment opportunities and local businesses
• Organise workplace visits, work experience and trial placements
• Build workplace readiness and employability skills
• Connect with employers to create customised employment opportunities
• Provide on-the-job coaching and support
• Maintaining participant records and case notes

About you:

You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships and helping people achieve their goals. Experience in disability employment, community services, disability support, education, youth work or employment services is highly regarded — but the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important!

You’ll need:

✔️ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✔️ Confidence engaging with employers and businesses
✔️ Strong sense of initiative
✔️ Great organising and documentation skills
✔️ Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
✔️ Ability to travel throughout North West Tasmania
✔️ Current WWVP card and national Police check
✔️ Current First Aid certificate
