🚀 WE’RE HIRING! – JOB TRAINER | DISABILITY EMPLOYMENT

North West Tasmania | Casual

Are you passionate about helping people with disability achieve their employment goals?

Due to significant interest and growth, we’re looking for a positive, energetic and motivated Job Trainer to join the team

What you’ll be doing:

• Work 1:1 with participants to discover their strengths, interests and career goals
• Explore employment opportunities and local businesses
• Organise workplace visits, work experience and trial placements
• Build workplace readiness and employability skills
• Connect with employers to create customised employment opportunities
• Provide on-the-job coaching and support
• Maintaining participant records and case notes

About you:

You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships and helping people achieve their goals. Experience in disability employment, community services, disability support, education, youth work or employment services is highly regarded — but the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important!

You’ll need:

✔️ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✔️ Confidence engaging with employers and businesses
✔️ Strong sense of initiative
✔️ Great organising and documentation skills
✔️ Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
✔️ Ability to travel throughout North West Tasmania
✔️ Current WWVP card and national Police check
✔️ Current First Aid certificate

More exciting developments 🎉

We’ve secured a property in Burnie where we’ll be able to offer respite and skill building programs. What we have in mind:

* 1:1 up to 1:3 respite
* Skill building but make it fun!
* Social nights
* Guest speakers around living healthy & home safety
* After school support and school holiday adventures

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate male support worker to support a male participant in Ulverstone.

* Casual position with permanent, ongoing hours
* Consistent weekly hours available

We’re looking for someone who is mature, calm, dependable, and confident, with good communication skills and a genuine interest in building a positive, supportive relationship.

Essential:

* Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
* Current First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain
* Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Desirable:

* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or a related qualification

🎉 Congratulations, Brianna! 🎉

Brianna is nearing completion of Stage 1 of the MyFit Employment Program and is now almost finished her Safe Food Handling Certificate! 👏

Completing this industry-recognised certification is an important milestone towards achieving Brianna’s employment goals. Not only does it demonstrate her ability to successfully complete an online course, but it also adds a valuable qualification to her resume, helping her stand out.

With the support of her Career Coach, Brianna has been developing her skills, building confidence, and strengthening her job readiness throughout her MyFit journey. Every step forward is bringing her closer to meaningful employment opportunities and long-term success.

We’ve also included our MyFit Employment Program Flowchart, designed to clearly outline each stage of the program and help participants understand their pathway towards sustainable employment outcomes. From identifying strengths and interests to gaining workplace experience and securing ongoing employment, MyFit provides structured support every step of the way.
