Tomorrow is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is observed annually on June 15. Designated by the United Nations, it serves as a global call to action to voice opposition to the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older people, while promoting the importance of their dignity and wellbeing.

We at Family Based Care Tasmania acknowledge and always educate ourselves on preventive measures for clients and our own.

After injury, people can become unintentionally isolated. Reduced social contact, loss of routine, and limited access to meaningful activities can impact motivation, mood, and overall wellbeing. Re-engaging with your community helps restore a sense of purpose and normality.
