โ๏ธ Have your say on options for new Aviation Disability Standards.
PDA is sharing an Australian Government consultation seeking feedback on how new standards could address barriers experienced by people with disability throughout the air travel journey.
The consultation covers:
โข the whole journey
โข planning and booking
โข experiences at the airport
โข travel on the aircraft
People with disability, families, carers, support workers, advocates and disability organisations are encouraged to review the proposed options and share their views.
Three accessible online information sessions will be held. One will be open to everyone, one will be for organisations representing and supporting people with disability, and one will be for the aviation industry. Check the consultation page for session dates and registration details.
You can complete the guided consultation survey or make a written, audio or video submission. If you complete the survey, you do not need to make a separate submission.
Consultation materials are available in accessible formats, including Easy Read, Auslan and Braille Ready Format where provided. Hard copy fact sheets and other translations can also be requested.
