☺️Cycling is gentle on the joints and easy to adapt to your own pace, whether it is a quick ride around the block or a longer stretch along a local path. It is also great for your mental wellbeing, offering time to clear your head, enjoy some fresh air, and rediscover our part of the world.

🚶‍♀️When you are heading out for a walk, bike ride, or a busy day on the go, having a simple, nourishing snack on hand can make all the difference. These no-bake snack bars are easy to prepare, full of wholesome ingredients, and hold together well in a container or wrapped individually. They are a great way to keep your energy steady while you’re out and about!

👨‍🍳RECIPE • 2 cups rolled oats • 1 cup natural peanut butter (or almond butter) • ½ cup honey or maple syrup • ½ cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, or walnuts) • ½ cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, or chopped apricots)• 1 tsp vanilla extract • Pinch of salt • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips

🥣Warm the peanut butter and honey until smooth and mix through the rest of the ingredients until well coated. Press the mixture firmly into a lined tray, chill until set, and slice.

❄️As the weather cools and it becomes easier to get outside, many people are keen to do a little more but don’t always feel as steady as they would like. Balance is something we rarely think about until it changes, and it is not just about your legs or your feet. Your spine plays a key role, helping your body send clear signals to your brain about position, movement, and stability. When spinal joints are not moving well, those signals can become less accurate.

🙏Chiropractic care may help by improving movement through the spine and supporting better communication within the body. Many patients notice improved stability and coordination whether that is walking on uneven ground, exploring a bush track, or simply moving through daily life with more ease. ANZAC Day has always been about reflection, and tradition, and for many of us, that includes the simple ritual of baking ANZAC biscuits.

If you’re looking to make this your tradition, here’s a classic recipe that never fails:

🥣 1 cup rolled oats
🥣 1 cup plain flour
🥣 1 cup desiccated coconut
🥣 ¾ cup brown sugar
🧈 125g butter
🍯 2 tbsp golden syrup
🧂 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
💧 2 tbsp boiling water

Mix the dry ingredients, melt the butter and golden syrup, then stir in the bicarb mixed with boiling water. Combine, roll into balls, flatten slightly, and bake at 160°C (fan) for 10–15 minutes depending on how chewy or crunchy you like them.

Simple, comforting, and a family favourite.

🌞🌻Getting outside isn’t just a nice idea, it’s one of the simplest ways to support your health.

A gentle walk, a slow bike ride, or even just sitting at the beach can help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and give your nervous system a reset. Fresh air and natural light also play a big role in boosting mood, improving sleep, and helping your body feel more balanced.

🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️You don’t need to push hard, consistency matters more than intensity.
