THE STANDARD NOBODY SEES.

One of the most important standards a man has is the one nobody sees.

Not the one he presents publicly.

The private one.

The promises he makes to himself.

The commitments no one else is tracking.

- Train today
- Go for a walk
- Eat like the man you say you want to become.

Because over time, those private decisions create something powerful:

Self trust.

And self-trust influences everything.

- How you lead.
- How you show up.
- How confident you feel.

Most men don't lose confidence overnight.

They slowly lose trust in their own follow-through.

The good news?

Self-trust can be rebuilt one decision at a time.

THE WEIGHT MEN CARRY.

Most men think the weight they're carrying is physical.

- A few extra Kilos.

- A bit more belly fat.

- Clothes fitting differently.

But often that's not the heaviest weight.

The heavier weight is knowing you're not quite living in alignment with your own standards.

You still show up.

- Still provide.

- Still work hard

- Still do what needs to be done.

But there's a quiet voice that knows:

"I've been meaning to deal with this."

Not because of appearance.

Because of self-respect.

Most men aren't looking for perfection.

They're looking for congruence.

The feeling that their actions and standards are moving in the same direction.

And when that happens, confidence tends to follow naturally.

One of the fastest ways to lose for confidence as a man:

- Repeatedly ignoring your own word

not publicly.

Privately.

You say:
"I'll get back into shape."

Then weeks pass.

Nothing dramatic happens.
But internally, something shifts.

Because self-confidence isn't only built through success.

It's built through self-trust.

And every time you repeatedly delay something important to you, that trust weakens slightly.

Most men don't need more information.

They need to rebuild trust within themselves.

THE INTERNAL NEGOTIATION.

Most men don't lose momentum all at once.

It starts with negotiation.

- "I'll start Monday."
- "I've had a stressful week."
- I'll make up for it tomorrow."

Small conversations.
Repeatedly quietly.

And over time, those negotiations become identity.

Because every repeated compromise teaches you what standard you're willing to accept.

That's the dangerous part.

- Not one missed session.
- Not one bad meal.

The gradual normalisation of misalignment.

Mindset isn't built through motivation.

It's built through the standards YOU stop negotiating.

THE TIME ARRIVED!!

The shirt was on, the bib number was pinned, the preparation was completed....

This morning I ran the HBF fun run, which was not just a personal challenge, but to help raise funds and awareness for Dementia Australia.

I was excited, motivated, and yes, a little nervous too - but I knew I was ready to give it everything I got.

I just want to thank everyone who encouraged and supported me along the way.

IT'S ALMOST TIME!

The time is almost upon us - tomorrow morning I'll be taking part in the HBF fun run, & honestly feeling excited, grateful, a little nervous....but absolutely ready and raring to go.

Over the past few weeks I've put in the preparation with the runs, push-ups, burpees, shuttle runs & training sessions, & now there are no more excuses - it's time to get it done.

I'm feeling strong, focused and determined to cross that finish line knowing I gave it everything I had.

As many of you know, i'm also using this challenge to raise funds for Dementia Australia, with a goal of raising $500 to support individuals and families impacted by Dementia.

If you've been meaning to donate, it's definitely not too late, & every contribution - big or small - genuinely makes a difference.

Thankyou so much to everyone who has supported, encouraged and backed me so far.

Tomorrow, we run with purpose ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

WHY RESTRICTION EVENTUALLY BACKFIRES.

A lot of men approach belly fat with restriction.

- Stricter diet
- More rules
- Hard reset mentality.

And initially, it works........until real life returns.

- Business dinners
- Stress.
- Travel.
- Family schedules.

Then the structure breaks because it depended on perfect conditions.

That's why so many men swing between :

"Fully on track"
and
"completely off."

Not because they lack discipline.

Because extremes create friction.

And friction eventually creates resistance.

Especially for men already carrying high mental load.

The approach that lasys usually isn't the most aggressive.

It's the one that still works when life becomes demanding.

That distinction changed every time for me.

THE IDENTITY SHIFT MOST MEN MISS.

Most men try to lose belly fat while emotionally staying calm.

- Same routines
- Same reactions to stress.
-Same negotiation patterns.

Just with more effort layered on top.

But lasting change usually happens after an identity shift.

When staying in shape stops being:
"something im trying to do."

And becomes:
"a standard I no longer negotiate."

That changes decisions quietly.

- You stop restarting.
- Stop swinging between extremes.
- Stop relying on motivation.

Because your behaviours begin matching the man you believe you are.

That's the past most men overlook.

Body fat loss is physical.

But consistency is deeply identity-driven.

Once I understood that, everything became simpler.
