Korimako are super cool 🫶🏼.
Spent the day recording them last week, I love what you can pick up once things are slowed down.

This sound helps to tone your vagus nerve by slowing down your breathing and the rhythms of your body. It makes sense that it’s a slow, rhythmic sound… it also helps your nervous system drop into parasympathetic mode, and into meditative states, and can be more effective than frequencies for sleep. It’s the Ocean 🐚. But not just any ocean :) Slow, rhythmic waves - listen in Luvia: Living Soundscapes app to the sea in Japan, Bali & Australia 🥰

We love recording every sound by hand. Then planting each sound into the Luvia database so you can play soundscapes through our algorithm that we hand-designed to compose in real-time the way nature does :) ➡️

We love listening respectfully - with full presence and devotion, in every place we go. When we approach the world this way, nature responds by sharing sounds and sights that appear like magic and fill us with awe.

It is both a pleasure and honour to meet the people who have kept tradition alive for generations. Pictured here is Harumi Shimazaki, who learnt the Koto from her mother at age 3, and later a traditional master. The Koto continues in her family line, and her daughter and herself run a music school in Kyoto, Japan, specifically to keep the culture of this instrument alive. This is where we recorded 🙌

This is Supriyadi of Sacred Instruments Bali who makes and plays the most beautiful and unique instruments. Instruments from his home village in West Java are played for full moon and harvest ceremonies praising Mother Nature and Nyai Pohaci Goddess of rice and fertility. The whole village participates in the ceremony dancing together in a trance-like dance with haunting melodies.

You can hear these instruments in our Bali Sound World in Luvia Soundscapes App.

Travelling to some of the natural wonders of the world (to us!) like Tikal, the Ancient Mayan City in the wild forests of Guatemala is a phenomenal moment we will never forget.

You know it. That deep, knowing feeling of connection and, well - love :) when you are with nature and all her beautiful creatures and plants. Once you’re hooked it’s easy to want to care for this beautiful planet and create ways for more people to feel the same.

Let’s keep on loving 🌎
