Weight training is one of the best things you can do for your bone health during perimenopause and menopause—but don’t rush straight into lifting heavy.

The foundation is good technique. When you move well, your muscles generate the tension needed to stimulate stronger bones while reducing unnecessary stress on your joints.

Build your movement first, then build your strength. Your body will thank you.

Reach out if you need help.

Not every injury heals at the same speed.

A sore muscle, a ligament sprain, and a tendon injury all recover differently. Understanding the typical healing time helps set realistic expectations and reminds you why the right rehab matters.

Healing takes time, but it also takes the right load, the right movement, and the right progression.

In many cases, recovery isn’t about complete rest; it’s about modifying your load, managing intensity, and allowing your body to adapt.

Respect the process. Stay consistent.

This one makes me smile. 😊

After a complete PCL and MCL tear, Juan is back surfing again. Plenty of hard work behind the scenes to get here, but it’s all worth it when you can get back to doing what you love. 🌊🏄‍♂️👏

🏃‍♀️ That smile says it all - First run after ACL reconstruction 🎉 ✨

3 months ago, running felt a long way away.

Today, she completed her first run back with a huge smile on her face.

Recovery from ACL reconstruction isn’t just about healing a knee. It’s about rebuilding strength, confidence, trust in your body, and getting back to doing the things you love.

Moments like these are why I love what I do.

Congratulations on this milestone. You’ve earned every step of it, and this is just the beginning. 👏🌅

✨ Are you actually “tight”… or are you hypermobile? ✨

A lot of people with hypermobility feel stiff, sore and tight ALL the time — even though they’re naturally flexible.

You might relate to:
• always stretching but never feeling loose
• joints clicking, cracking or giving way
• recurring injuries or sprains
• neck, shoulder or back tension
• feeling unstable during exercise
• fatigue after activity or long days standing

When joints move too much, the muscles often work overtime trying to create stability — which can lead to tension, pain and overload.

Many hypermobile people don’t need more stretching.
They need more stability, strength and control.

At Body Flow Physiotherapy, we focus on helping your body feel stronger, more supported and more confident with movement
