Sometimes a person is a one way ticket.

Maybe it’s not a person, maybe it’s an experience, a realisation, a loss, a relationship. But its effect is the same - it takes you somewhere inside of yourself that you didn’t know existed. It fundamentally shifts your way of being, your way of seeing.

There is no “going back” to your previous state.
There is only surrender to the unfolding.

I always thought I had a thing for the bad boys.

The wild ones.
The untamed ones.
The ones who looked at me like I’d just walked out of another lifetime.

It felt like chemistry.

Looking back, that was the deception.

It was the feeling of being chosen.

That first meeting of minds.
The way they reached for me.
The way they seem to see you like no one has.
The way I became the centre of their universe for a moment.

Then something would change…

Distance.
Another woman.
Confusion.
A breadcrumb.
Just enough remorse to seem like progress.
Another disappearance.

And somehow my heart translated inconsistency into depth. My nervous system calibrated to toxicity.

I wasn’t addicted to the chaos, I was trying to get back to the feeling of being chosen.

That one landed into my awareness like seeing clearly underwater for the first time.

Because underneath all the archetypes and intensity and cosmic love stories…

I think my nervous system has been asking one question my whole life.

Am I safe here?

Not…

Will you desire me?

Not…

Will you obsess over me?

Just…

Will you keep reaching for me?

Give me the kind of connection where my shoulders drop without me noticing.

Where I stop trying to earn my place or fight for anything that should just flow, magnetise like a vortex.

Where my nervous system doesn’t have to brace for the moment everything changes.

Maybe that’s what devotion actually feels like.

Not possession.

Not obsession.

Just two people quietly choosing each other again…

and again…

and again.

And maybe that’s where non attachment gets misunderstood.

Maybe it isn’t pretending we don’t care.

Maybe it isn’t closing our hearts before they can be broken.

Maybe it’s opening them fully…

while accepting that love isn’t something we can force into existence.

You can’t grip a butterfly into staying.
