Have you noticed that beginners often find stepping one foot forward forward or back the biggest challenge in Sun Salutes? This video shows two versions of a Sun Salute. The top one I would call 'Intermediate' and the bottom one 'Beginner'. Of course there would be many steps in between! In this beginners version I have taken out the step back of one foot but included the step forward. Of course it could be modified even further to take out the step forward aswell. What do you think?

How can we teach a multi level class that has the same benefits for all the students? I like to use these variations to classical postures in the Sun Salutes. Every gets to try the gentler variations in the warm up round. Then those who are comfortable with the more challenging versions can progress. What do you think?
