Did you know that just because you have a monthly bleed, it doesn’t mean you have ovulated. A period without ovulating is called an anovulatory cycle.

Ovulation 🥚 is a big indicator of health and it isn’t just about making babies. It is how progesterone and other hormones are produced and many things can effect ovulation.

It takes 100 days for a follicle to mature - within this 100 day period if you have experienced high levels of stress 😬(emotional, mental or physical), have significantly under-eaten 🥘(particularly carbohydrates), experienced nutrient deficiencies 🦪 or have been on hormone birth control 💊 , you’re unlikely to have ovulated.

Perimenopause is a life stage where ovulation becomes more irregular.

And PCOS is another condition which can lead to ovulation issues which I’ll talk about in another post.

So why is it important?

Monthly ovulation and hormone production is important for regulating the immune system 🤒, reducing inflammation🦵🏼, promoting cardiovascular health 🫀, supporting the thyroid 🦋, brain 🧠, bones 🦴and breasts 🍈.

One way to monitor if you’ve ovulated is to track your basal temperature in the morning, you’ll see a slight increase in temperature during ovulation and the luteal phase. Another way is to look for egg white discharge.

There are different ways to support ovulation, this depends on what is driving your hormonal issues in the first place.

Reach out to a qualified health practitioner like myself if you need extra support with your hormones.

An important update to honour the time and presence of both clients and myself.

I have been wanting to share something like this for a while but couldn’t quite articulate it, thank you to for inspiring me with a recent post of her own 🙏

Last night we had the Go Vita Gala Dinner

The theme = Glam ✨ and didn’t some of them glam up🕺 (an accurate representation of our one and only boss man David)

We stayed at the QT and it was such a fun night mingling with crew, other Go Vita teams and many reps.

There was a flash mob and even a special appearance by David getting up to play Sax 🎷 with the band.

Happy 2026 to you all 🌿

2026 has started out very chaotic on a personal level and worldly level, a not-so-nice continuation from 2025. I’m waiting to start it again Chinese New Year in Feb! 🔥 🐴

But amongst the chaos and heartache, there’s been some fun, some adventure and family time.

Sorry for any delayed message replies, I took some time away from this platform, but I’m back and with better boundaries and changes to my schedule, which I’ll share on another post.

Today was my first day back in clinic for the year and we’ve had some wonderful client wins over the break ✨
