Mabo Day is not just about historyβ€”it is about recognising the strength, determination and cultural pride that continues to guide our people today and for future generations.

✨ Every conversation.
✨ Every story shared.
✨ Every young person learning their culture.
✨ Every Elder passing on knowledge.

These are the things that keep our culture strong.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a meaningful day. The spirit of community was felt throughout Roma Street Parkland and we are proud to have been part of it.

Mark your calendars for 3 June and come together as community for the Mabo Day and National Reconciliation Week BBQ at Raintree Park. β€οΈπŸ–€πŸ’›

Mabo Day is a powerful reminder of the legacy of those who fought for recognition, justice and truth. It marks a significant moment in history that recognised Native Title and challenged the idea that this land belonged to no one before colonisation.

But this day is also about where we go from here.

It is about coming together, listening, learning and continuing the work of reconciliation through action. Real reconciliation is built in community. It happens through conversations, shared experiences and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard and connected.

There will be a free BBQ, arts and weaving activities, opportunities to connect and the chance to support the Larrakia Nation Arts in the Grass HEAL Program, strengthening culture, connection and community.

Come along, bring the family and be part of the conversation.

πŸ“ Raintree Park, Darwin City
πŸ“… Wednesday 3 June
πŸ•› From 12pm

Respect. Listen. Learn. Take action.
