**4 The 1 Supports** is looking for a caring, reliable and experienced **Support Worker** to join our team on the **Sunshine Coast**, assisting clients receiving **QCSS (Queensland Community Support Scheme)** supports.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes and community.

**The Role**
You will be supporting QCSS clients across the Sunshine Coast with services that may include:

- Domestic assistance and household tasks
- Personal care
- Social support and community access
- Shopping, appointments and everyday errands
- Supporting clients to remain safe and independent at home

**What We’re Looking For**

- Certificate III qualification relevant to support work
- Paid Yellow & Blue card
- Reliable, caring and professional
- Excellent communication skills
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Ability to travel between clients across the Sunshine Coast
- Relevant worker screening, checks and compliance requirements
- A genuine heart for supporting people and going the extra mile

Community access is so much more than getting from A to B.

For many people, it's about building confidence, maintaining independence, creating meaningful connections and simply enjoying life. Whether it's grabbing a coffee, attending appointments, or for this client a trip to the museum and park, these moments can have a huge impact on someone's wellbeing.

As support workers, every outing is an opportunity to build independence, create memories and remind someone that they're a valued part of their community.

On Monday 27th July at 2pm the Australian Government is launching AusAlert – a new national warning system that uses the latest technology to send emergency messages to compatible mobile devices.

This is just a test, no action is needed!

If you are deaf or hard of hearing, AusAlert may:
- vibrate your device and turn on your screen
- be heard through hearing aids or cochlear implants
- work with other assistive technologies, such as bed shakers.

If you are blind or have low vision, AusAlert may:
- read the message aloud if text-to-speech is turned on
- work with other assistive technologies such as refreshable braille displays and screen magnification tools.
