Fat loss doesnโ€™t require detoxes. There are no โ€˜goodโ€™ and โ€˜badโ€™ foods. And you definitely donโ€™t need to survive on sad little salads that leave you raiding the pantry an hour later.

What you do need are balanced meals that taste good, keep you full, and give your body the nutrients it needs.

Tonightโ€™s dinner is a perfect example ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿฅฉ Steak = Protein, iron & B vitamins. Protein supports muscle maintenance and keeps you fuller for longer, while iron is essential for energy production and reducing fatigue.

๐ŸŒฟ Chimichurri = Flavour and antioxidants. Fresh herbs, garlic and olive oil add plenty of flavour and beneficial plant compounds.

๐Ÿ‹ Lemon juice = Vitamin C, which helps your body absorb iron more effectively from the steak.

๐Ÿฅ” Potatoes = Carbohydrates for energy. Despite their bad reputation, potatoes are packed with nutrients like potassium, vitamin C and fibre. Plus, they make meals far more enjoyable.

๐Ÿซ’ Olive oil = Healthy fats that support hormone health, nutrient absorption and satiety.

๐Ÿฅ— Salad = Fibre, micronutrients and volume to help support digestion, fullness and overall health.

A balanced meal doesnโ€™t have to be perfect.

It can be as simple as:

No, Iโ€™m not condoning drinking every night.

But I also donโ€™t believe in cutting out everything you love just to lose weight.

Fat loss requires some degree of sacrifice. But restriction? NO f*cking thank you. Itโ€™s the quickest way to end up back at square one.

With the right strategy, you can still enjoy the things you love (like a wine with dinner) and make progress.

It physically pains me how eye opening this is! ๐Ÿซฃ

A small spoonful of peanut butter and a handful of nutsโ€ฆ and youโ€™re almost at 500 calories!

For the majority of women trying to lose weight, thatโ€™s your entire calorie deficit wiped out just like that. ๐Ÿคฏ

Now before anyone comes for me โ€” peanut butter and nuts are NOT to be demonised. I have them daily. Theyโ€™re nutritious, healthy, and absolutely can and should be part of your diet.

But ๐Ÿ‘† it is worth being aware of that they are very calorie dense.

Which means the calories add up fast, while the volume of food is actually pretty small and wonโ€™t even feel like youโ€™ve made a dent in your belly.

Compare that to a high volume meal โ€” lean protein, veggies, carbs, fibre โ€” and suddenly the same calories can fill an entire bowl or plate and keep you satisfied for hours.

This is one of the biggest shifts I teach my clients.

Not cutting foods out.
Not labelling things good or bad.

Just learning how to spend your calories in a way that keeps you full, satisfied, and actually able to stick to fat loss.

This used to be me. Unintentionally sabotaging ALL of my efforts. ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ‘€

I was unhappy in my own skin and convinced the answer was to do more.

More gym sessions.
More cardio.
More sweat.
More effort.

Iโ€™d train 6-7 days a week and wonder why my body wasnโ€™t changing the way I wanted it to.

The truth? ๐Ÿ‘‡

I had no real understanding of nutrition.

Iโ€™d nail my workout, then spend the rest of the day making food choices that werenโ€™t supporting my goals. Not because I didnโ€™t care. Not because I lacked motivation. I simply didnโ€™t know what I was doing.

And it was frustrating as all hell!

Because when youโ€™re putting in that much effort, you expect to see something for it!

What Iโ€™ve learned over the years, both personally and through coaching hundreds of women, is that exercise and nutrition arenโ€™t equal when it comes to weight loss.

Exercise is amazing. It improves your fitness, strength, energy, mental health and overall wellbeing.

But when it comes to fat loss, your nutrition is going to do the heavy lifting. You simply CANNOT out train a diet that isnโ€™t aligned with your goals.

You donโ€™t need to live in the gym.

You donโ€™t need to do an hour of cardio every day.

You donโ€™t need to earn your food.

You need habits you can actually stick to.

Being mindful of your nutrition 80-90% of the time isnโ€™t always easy. In fact, for most people, itโ€™s the hardest part. Itโ€™s the part nobody sees. The choices you make at home, at work, on weekends, when youโ€™re tired, stressed or just canโ€™t be bothered.

Thatโ€™s where results come from.

Not from flogging yourself in the gym seven days a week. Pleaseeeee donโ€™t do this ๐Ÿฅฒ

The 1-2 hours I sacrifice each Sunday saves me a whole lot of stress and thinking during the week. Itโ€™s a sacrifice of time Iโ€™m always willing to make!
