We believe real support starts with genuinely knowing someone — their passions, their joys, what makes them light up. That connection is what allows us to match participants with support workers who can help them not only reach their goals, but truly enjoy the journey.

We can see what make Shaun happy. It was so lovely to spent time with him, we could have just spent the day watching his beautiful fish. So beautiful. He set up this beautiful tank with his amazing support workers.

Just wow, what a day. Thank you to everyone that came up to say hello and a special thank you to our very own Cairns Mayor Mayor Amy Eden for coming by, it was lovely to see you and thank you for your support.

Matching participants to the right supports is just one of the ways we help our participants live their best lives!

We supported our participant to attend the Cairns gem show and it was a lovely day. She got to meet and talk to many people in the community and learn about the local gem club. There were lots of displays and activities like fossicking and gold detecting. It was a pretty heavy “showbag” with the massive haul of rocks but she’s a very happy girl! She said she is happy to share a pic of her treasures from today.

“It’s really nice to be able to join in the things I love and not have to feel like I’m a burden for taking too long or looking too much. To feel safe when I’m struggling means so much. Thank you for giving me such personal support, it makes all the difference”

We are all very excited to be part of this year's CDN Cairns Disability Network Expo. The Expo and CDN is ran totally by passionate volunteers in our community sector.

So many amazing local providers, for everyone to chat with.
Thank you to Raintrees for hosting for the second year, the centre offers lots of free parking, disability toilets and plenty of spots to pick up a coffee or bit to eat.

This is about community and everyone coming together.
