Love these early winter mornings in Cairns. The beaches were great but the Esplanade is close to home and stunning. So many herons as well. Perfect place for a reiki holiday 😀!

What a great few weeks looking after Minke. Thanks to the community of dog owners here who have made me so welcome on our beach walks, sharing doggy knowledge and to Minke who is a strong, playful and entertaining puppy! ❤️🙏😀

I’m really enjoying these beach walks with Minke. She’s making friends & so am I!! Most of the time they’re off lead running and playing. Kewarra is a great beach for this.

Looking after Minke is great. She loves the beach, greets every dog, chases, sniffs and really encompasses the freedom that being off lead presents 😀. A reiki dog dancing in freedom 😀❤️! In the evening it’s chill out time!

"If we allow negative seeds to be watered, they will become strong, and we will suffer and make the people around us suffer.

When we love someone, we should have enough time to look into his consciousness, recognize the beautiful seeds in him, and practice watering them every day.

Everyone has the seeds of joy and compassion, and if we know how to touch them, we transform them into energies that make us feel better, happier, more joyful, and more compassionate.

The practice of watering seeds can bring results right away.

One of the characteristics of the Dharma, the teachings of the Buddha, is that it is effective right here and right now.

We know the other person has the seeds of joy and compassion in him.

Suppose we talk to him in a way that touches those seeds in him.

Half an hour later, he becomes a different person.

This is possible.

We also know that he has the seeds of sorrow, despair, and jealousy.

So we refrain from watering those seeds, and we just recognize and water the positive seeds in him.

In no time at all he becomes different,

more pleasant,

happier.

This is not only for his sake,

but for our sake.

We call this the practice of selective watering."
