NDIS pricing is changing from 1 July 2026 and again from 1 January 2027. Some rates are increasing. Some are being cut significantly. And for the first time, whether your provider is registered or unregistered will affect what they can charge you.

We have put together the full picture across 10 slides so you know exactly what is changing, what is frozen, and what it means for your supports.

The short version: psychology and specialist behaviour support are both increasing to $252.99. Other Professional therapy rates are being cut by $37.83 per hour. Support Coordination remains frozen for the sixth consecutive year. And from January 2027, unregistered SCCP providers face a 10% rate reduction with indexation ceased, while registered providers hold their rates.

This is not an exhaustive list of all pricing changes across the Scheme. It covers the changes most relevant to the supports Neurodivergent Empowered delivers and the participants we work with.

As a registered NDIS provider, we ensure we are set up to accomodate any changes before changes take effect. We do not pass on costs that are not ours to pass on.

If you have questions about how any of this affects your plan or your supports with us, our inbox is open through your Nest client portal.

ADHD Renovation Season Has Begun…

You know that time when your brain decides that what really needs attention is not the 47 things already on the to-do list, but completely reimagining how an entire space functions?

Yep. We’re there. 😅

Every so often I stop fighting my ADHD and just let it do what it does best: spot patterns, identify inefficiencies, and become mildly obsessed with making things work better.

So over the coming weeks, parts of The Nest are getting a refresh.

Not because anything is “wrong” - but because our community keeps growing, evolving, and teaching us new ways to create spaces that genuinely work for neurodivergent people.

Some changes will be practical.
Some will be sensory.
Some will be organisational.
Some will make absolutely perfect sense only after they’ve existed for a few weeks.

What I’ve learned over the years is that innovation rarely comes from sitting still. Sometimes it comes from an ADHD brain wandering through a room and thinking:

“What if this was over here?”

“What if we did this differently?”

“What if this could be easier?”

The Nest has always been built by neurodivergent people, for neurodivergent people. That means we’re never afraid to experiment, adapt, learn, and keep improving.

So if you arrive and something has moved, been rearranged, colour-coded, labelled, streamlined, or mysteriously become more functional…

Just know that ADHD has been given temporary permission to roam free. 😎

And honestly? Some of our best ideas have started exactly this way.

I am doing my Masters as I want things to change.

I want neurodivergent people to stop being taught about as deficits, (which they still are at the AQF9 level).

I want affirming, interest-based, relationship-centred supports & therapies to be recognised as legitimate.

I want white, neuro-normative frameworks to stop being presented as universal truths.

And the reality is that if I want to influence those systems, I need to walk through the academic process myself.

My first term I lost 15 kilograms through stress of being taught & assessed in NT ways.

Eventually I found the courage to use my voice and advocate for myself. To say that some of what was happening was not okay. To challenge assumptions. To ask difficult questions.

This term, four of my subjects worked with me.

You can probably tell which one did not.

The one subject where I also refused to abandon neurodiversity-affirming perspectives in favour of white, neuro-normative frameworks is currently in a formal remarking process.

And yet here we are.

HD – Counselling Process & Skills I
HD – Cognitive Behavioural Approaches
HD – Collaborative & Competency Based Approaches
HD – Research Methods in Counselling (double subject)

Somehow, between running Neurodivergent Empowered, preparing for our 18-month NDIS audit at the end of this month, travelling overseas, parenting, supporting our community, and missing most of the social events along the way, I pulled off the goods.

But if I am honest, I still sometimes feel like the canary being sent into the mineshaft and I would greatly appreciate any links to supports at the Masters level to protect me from ongoing harm.

Yet I believe deeply in what we are doing at The Nest.

I believe in interest-based supports.

I believe in community.

I believe in authenticity.

I believe neurodivergent people deserve supports that honour who they are rather than trying to reshape them into someone else.

And I would love the opportunity to see that recognised formally one day.

To everyone who kept encouraging me when the mountain felt too steep, thank you.

I genuinely could not be doing this without you. ❤️

Together we can xx

Vulnerable share…

I remember when my child was little we went to a wedding reception with a beautiful archway for photos etc.

She was playing with the other kids near it, no doubt doing things kids shouldn’t, when they knocked that beautiful, massive stand over.

Every other kid took off except for mine, who ran straight to me.

Now that she is older I say openly to her, “you are going to make some sh*tty choices, it’s part of growing up. But if you are in trouble you call me or get to me and tell me, no matter what. I may be upset at some stage depending on what it is, but I promise you my priority will always be to make sure you are safe first… and it should be yours too. But don’t let it stop you from actually living.”

No parent wants their child to suffer in any capacity. I feel like I have been trying to fill my child with an overflow of love to counter what the world does negatively to her since she was 18 months old. I know I can only do so much and as a teenager now, statistically my influence over what happens to her is rapidly declining.

But I do hope that she does call me if she needs me, like when she ran to me as a much smaller child. Or maybe the world will soften around her and i can go back to just being a mum prepping for normal teenage stuff… not the other safety fears a lot of parents are privileged not to experience for their child simply existing.

At the moment when I think about the world softening, I still hold out hope. And as the famous song says, “You may say I’m a Dreamer… but I am not the only one…”

Feel free to sing along with me 🤍

The world feels heavy right now.

For a lot of our community, there is so much uncertainty, division, fear, and hurt being carried every single day.

I’m not ashamed to admit that lately it has felt like the black dog has been nipping at my heels too.

When I feel that happening, one of the things I do is create something beautiful.

Something safe.

Something that reminds me that even when the world feels ugly, we can still create spaces filled with kindness, connection, and belonging.

So today I let me ADHD loose to get creating.

Our chill-out space at The Nest has had a little makeover.

Now, for those moments when someone needs a break from the world, wants some quiet time alone, or simply wants to connect with one other person, there are cosy little tents tucked away in their own separate space.

Fairy lights.

Flowers.

Soft plushies.

Little tables for colouring, drawing, devices, or simply existing.

A gentle place to land when your nervous system needs a moment.

Because not every moment of participation looks like talking.

Sometimes participation looks like feeling safe enough to stay.

The only thing missing now is you.

People often ask me why, as a yoga teacher, mindfulness practitioner, clinical hypnotherapist, counsellor, and someone who spends much of my life supporting others, I still go to yoga every day with a teacher leading the class.

The answer is simple.

It's not really about the yoga.

Well... it is. But it isn't.

For me, yoga is community.

It's one hour each day where I don't have to hold everything together. I don't have to lead. I don't have to teach. I don't have to carry responsibility for everyone else.

I simply get to receive.

I get to walk into a space where someone else is holding the container. Someone else is looking out for me. Someone notices if I don't turn up.

And that matters more than most people realise.

Over time, I've met some truly beautiful humans through the community at NRG Yoga. People who celebrate my wins, notice when I'm struggling, and care about me simply because I'm me.

As someone who spends so much of my life supporting others, being held by a community is not a luxury. It's essential.

I honestly don't think I could keep showing up in the world the way I do without that space each morning.

So today I'm feeling incredibly grateful.

Grateful for the friendships.

Grateful for the connection.

Grateful for the people who notice when I'm not there.

Grateful for the people who see the best in me, even on the days I can't see it myself.

And grateful for the reminder that sometimes healing isn't found in doing more.

Sometimes it's found in allowing yourself to be held.

❤️ For all the conversations about self-care, I think what many of us are really seeking is community.

A place where we matter, where we're missed, and where we don't have to carry everything alone.

💜 Parents need this now more than ever.

Many parents and carers are carrying an enormous load.

They're navigating appointments, school challenges, funding changes, advocacy, therapies, paperwork, family responsibilities and the emotional labour that comes with supporting someone they love.

For many, there is very little time left to understand what all of that stress is doing to their own nervous system.

The reality is that when parents are overwhelmed, exhausted and constantly operating in survival mode, it becomes harder to access the patience, flexibility, problem-solving and emotional resources needed for everyday family life.

Parents Connections: Nervous System Nourishment was created to change that.

This is a practical Parent and Carer Education session designed to help parents better understand nervous system regulation, stress responses, burnout, co-regulation and sustainable wellbeing.

Together we explore practical strategies that can be used in everyday life to support both parents and the people they care for.

This isn't about being a "better parent."

It's about understanding your nervous system, building practical skills and creating more sustainable ways to support yourself and your family.

🌿 Understand your nervous system and stress responses

🌿 Learn practical regulation strategies

🌿 Build knowledge and confidence

🌿 Explore co-regulation and emotional wellbeing

🌿 Connect with other parents and carers who understand

🌿 Develop sustainable supports for everyday life

Because when parents feel more supported, informed and regulated, everybody benefits.
