Behind the doctors are two very important titles…

Dad. 🤍

Today we’re celebrating Dr Tan and Dr Varma, not for the appointments, the medical knowledge or the long clinic days, but for the role that means the most when they go home.

The dad jokes.
The advice nobody asked for.
The taxi service.
The snack distribution.
The fixing of absolutely everything.
And the ability to somehow fall asleep anywhere. 😂

We see the doctors our patients know and trust, but their families get the version with a little less medicine and a lot more “because I said so.”

Happy Father’s Day to Dr Tan, Dr Varma and all the incredible dads and father figures in our Medwell community.

We hope today involves good food, no jobs around the house (not that you ever had any…🤣) and at least one uninterrupted nap. You’ve earned it. 💙

Sometimes, the “standard” option isn’t the right option for the individual patient.

In carefully selected cases, factors such as medications, bleeding risk, healing considerations, lesion location and the patient’s broader medical history may influence how a diagnosed skin cancer is managed.

This close-up shows CO₂ laser being used as part of an individualised treatment approach where surgical excision was not considered the most appropriate option for this patient.

Skin cancer treatment is never one-size-fits-all. The diagnosis, cancer type, depth, location, pathology and individual risk factors all matter, and treatment should only be determined following appropriate medical assessment.

At Medwell Clinic, our focus is on choosing the most appropriate treatment pathway for the patient in front of us — not simply the most common one.

Skin doesn’t work on a deadline
Your skin doesn’t care that you want results by next month.

Collagen, pigmentation and healing all work on their own timeline.

Stronger CO2 settings don’t necessarily give you better results.
Stronger settings can be the thing holding your skin back.

More intensity doesn’t automatically mean a better result, because timing, recovery and skin condition matter just as much.

Not every kind of care happens in a treatment room.

Today we celebrate the mums, step mums, mothers-to-be, fur mums, and the women who somehow hold everything together while still showing up for everyone around them.

The women in our clinic bring so much more than professionalism.
They bring warmth, calmness, friendship, energy, support… and usually a level of laughter that can be heard from the other end of the clinic.

We are incredibly lucky to work alongside women who care for others every single day, both inside and outside of work.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who bring life, love, strength, and a little chaos in the best possible way.
