Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is a group of 13 genetic connective tissue disorders, each with their own characteristics and symptoms. Symptoms vary in severity and can include joint hypermobility, fragile skin, and musculoskeletal and chronic pain.

May is EDS awareness month. At Leap Back Physio, we understand your condition and appreciate the challenges this condition can bring. The awareness month we want to build further understanding within our community, some of whom we enjoy supporting with EDS.

As physiotherapists, we have a role in supporting people with EDS through tailored management focused on strength, function and improving quality of life. Each person with EDS presents differently, making diagnosis complex and often delayed. We currently help manage people with EDS, and understand that different forms of EDS require different methods of care.

Changes are afoot at Leap Back Physio!

We are super excited to welcome Sarah Milliken to our team - Sarah hails from New Zealand where she graduated from the University of Otago in 2021. She has completed post-graduate education in rehabilitation & uses a patient-centred holistic approach to help you achieve your goals.

Outside of work, Sarah likes to keep active & plays netball, runs half marathons & is currently training for a triathlon.
